Does she think she will sell in two months, with another recent interest rate rise? Might end up with an empty property sitting there for months, if she makes you go.

Well that's good then Hays, cos you should get more points now and stand more chance of getting somewhere, if it is nice you can then put in for right to buy after a while and get your start on the housing ladder. If it is not quite what you are after you can try for an exchange and then buy. Who knows, altho really stressful, this may turn out great after all. xx ? Sorry Ron, didn't think you would mind!

Carol yes it does depend on the agreement to a point, but all tennents have rights and must never be made homeless, Be it council or private the council are duty bound to find alturnative accomerdation

I know what you're going through, my son has the same happen to him in the last 2 weeks. He and his partner are desperate, can't buy too expensive, council list is 2 yrs wait, only other option is to rent privately again, trouble is they haven't got £1500 for deposit and 1st months rent. Told them they can move in here with us, but they need their own place, with a little one. Hope you get something soon. (((HUGS))) Heather x

Oh Hays Same thing happened to us in September, only i wasnt given 2 months notice. I moved inside 3 weeks. I was distraught at the time, but as it happens, it was for the best, im much happier in my new home. All these things happen for a reason, easy for me to say i know, but try not to stress to much, it will all work out fine ((hugs)) xx

Just a quick pop in Hays, just thought, you should have your deposit back from this landlady to help out with a new one? If you are really stuck, ask her if she will postpone receipt of the last month's rent towards your new deposit/rent in advance and then pay her back when you are settled in your new place. If you sign something to say you will pay her, she shouldn't have too much of a problem, especially if you leave the place looking good so it is easy to show people round (I know you won't feel like doing that, but it might work in your favour). Catch you later, hope you are getting some further info from CAB etc today. xxx
