Donna do you want to join my hubby he gets all excited was over the moon the other day cos has always wondered how they do it and caught them in the act , mind you they are live bearers so a bit different to the spawn when the ones we have that lay eggs lay the others end up eating them lol

hubby says probably a few days what species have laid them and have you got a male in there with the females ???

They are salt and pepper mollies and yes there are male and female.

something like that lol This is what hubby has just told me, the male does the business (very quickly lol) and she can hold the sperm in her for months , they have the young every month so one mating can serve her for a few months layings
