What has happened? Did I miss something while away?

Several more people deciding not to renew, altho as far as I am concerned and some others agree with me, it has been quite pleasant on here, the odd hiccup and problem but mostly fun, nothing too serious which is also a problem for a few, who think the threads are becoming too silly and frivolous and nothing deep and meaningful. A few newbies too, which is good, and a romance too - will try and nudge the thread about that. Liz

I'm not going to go, Ill renew in May. I may take some time away at times, but I too love these boards despite their degeneration. I will personally dissagree that the board has been overall pleasant of late, in fact over the last few weeks several really nasty incidents have happened. But I suppose if you missed them you will think all in the garden is rosy so to speak. I too have had many members comment about how unpleasant the board has been at times of late, and indeed spreading as far back to around a year. Again I suppose if you have not witnessed the many times upset has happened on here, or chose to ignore it then sometimes it may seem that its never happened at all. However, we must ALL accept that the board will never be the one we used to have, im not looking at this through my rose tinted's, but honestly remembering a board which even though we had disagreements, sometimes on a regular basis,, they were rarely personal, and rarely conducted with vindictiveness I see on the board of today. It may have not been perfect then, but it was heaps better than the playground this board has now become. Its time to bring this board upwards, with more debates, more fun threads , more games, and lets not forget the supportive threads which still are brilliant as they always have been Elaine x
