I HAD to add :)) Went to See Sinatra at the Palladium last night.....fantastic, but on the way home, we were on the train looking at the programme and it had a bit about the Palladium, and it reminded me, Val Parnell and his orchestra, another bit I'd forgotten. Also on the way from the station to the the theatre by cab, there was 5 of us, and we were chatting about the Sunday night at The London Palladium, and broke into the theme tune, Der der der der der der etc, etc :)) and the cabbie, said cor blimey girl, you ain't 'alf showing yer age, but he remembered it as well, so it must have been a good show eh? yes it was a good show, it had everything comedy, singers, dancers, magicians, it had the lot and it was a good evenings entertaiment, not like the rubbish they serve up now. Bring back variety and some good comedy, not the PC rubbish we get now.

think I must have been about 10 when I went to see the black and white minstrell show. My mum always says my face was a real picture . We had only seen it on a black and white tele so my eyes were popping out of my head at all the fabulous colours. Dont suppose that programme would be politically correct now. I do remember the Tiller Girls were they the pans people of that era? lol
