Many years ago, when i was a serving policeman, a local chap had 22 children. He refused to get a job because the best one they offered to him only paid half of what he was getting in benefits. At least he was completely honest about it - and who can blame him - certainly not his wife with that number to look after. Best wishes

In my husband's family (1788) his gg...grandfather had three wives (not all at once of course, he remarried as each one died in childbirth) and he produced 23 kids. It's a nightmare sorting out all the various branches.

22 is so hard to imagine isn't it? like my Nan my G nan was a tiny thing, only 4ft 10, but ruled with a rod of iron. My g nan on other side had 16 children, so we tend to have family everywhere. M.
