Obviously I can't answer this question lol. My dad left home when he was about 19 or 20 and my mum was about the same age when she left home. Lucia :-) |

parents dont 'put up' with their children. I look on it as unconditional love and irrespective on what they do to cause distress to their parent they are still loved - not put up with. I like to think that I will ALWAYS be there for my children |

I was one of the lucky ones - all their lives they put up with me; even when I was divorced at 46 parked myself on them for about 4 months til I found a place of my own. I'm the same with my kids, they're 36 and 35 and have their own places but wherever I am is still their home if they want it. Jan |

I'm not planning to in the near future Lucia, just when cook gets annoyed with something she says she'll throw me out as soon as she can. Just wondering when others went. |

My Parents are absolutely great, they have put us up a couple of times now when moving, we had money problems and they were there. 2 years ago I upset them, which I cannot forgive myself for but they are still there for me now. I just love them to bits and they love their children and grand children. They would do absolutely anything for us. |

You're right Sheila. Mine are still here, at 23, 29 and 31 Down to economics and price of houses locally. How youngsters afford a mortage is beyond me . |

Saying that - my son left home before 17 - to join forces and daughter at a similar age - BUT they have always thought of where I am as home - where they are loved and are safe |

We tell our 2 that on the morning of their 16th birthday they will come downstairs to find their packed suitcase and an invoice for 15 year's keep!! Maz. XX ps daughter is insistent she will NEVER get married and will live with us FOREVER aaaarrrrrgggghhhh!!!! |

My brother left at 16 to join the RAF and I left at 17 to move into the nurses home to begin my training. Don't think my lot will ever leave, they've got it too easy here! LOL Christine |

I lived with my parents until I was 22 when I moved in with my now husband. I simply couldnt afford to move out before then! |

I left home just before I turned 17. Strange upbringing living with my mum, gran and greatgran - too many females! Went back home for year after a bad relationship in my early twenties and it was great. Just me and mum and we became best friends. |
