Hubby and I had been together about 6 months, and he reckoned my 'Yorkshires' where quite good. Then one sunday he asked 'where's the green bits?' I thought, don't tell me his Mum's been giving him mouldy Yorkhshires all these years, had to submit and phone her and ask what he meant. MIXED HERBS!! I now buy Aunt Bessie's pre cooked ones and sprinkle the Mixed Herbs on top. Yes, I know it's cheating but do they taste good or what?!!!! Kim

My mum used to make them rise so much that sometimes we couldn't get them out of the oven. They stuck to the roof. Pity she didn't pass on the secret:))))

If you use the 'light' varieties of marg, then they tend to stick. Also soya marg not too good in that direction either.

No not tried the bacofoil yet, might give it a try.........wish me mum was still here she used to make terrific yorkshires........ And she could make " airballs" thats where it rises from the sides, until its like a "yorkshire" orange.

Julie Anne Just reminded me of the time my first boyfriend called at my house,hadn't finished tea(salad).Mum asked him in and he sat down on sofajust behind me,I was shaking the bottle of Salad Cream and my sisters hadn't put the top on properly.Shook the bottle and Salad Cream went all over him.Of course didn't know where to put my face,i could have cried but ended up laughing so much I nearly fell off the chair. Bob, Haveyou tried lining the trays with bacofile non-stick foil? It is wonderful stuff. My batters don't stick at all now. Lynda

its like tomato sauce, wont come out of the jar, but you shake the bottle when the kids not put lid on and EVERYWHERE, kids put it down a bit firm on work top, and it shoots out the top, but you hold it upside down and it holds on for grim death

Why do my yorkshire puds stick to my "nonstick" trays? tried it dry, tried greasing them, but still the same.........

Has anyone ever bought marge and tried spreading it but it WON'T stick to the knife and shoots of the bread/toast/whatever???? most annoying - but really funny watching it happen to someone else lol
