A friend of ours went Skiing for the first (and last)time. On the first day on the way up to the start of the slope he slipped in the snow and dislocated his kneecap. Spent the resat of the week strapped up and on crutches. |

When I was about 10, holidaying at my grandparent's, I had to sleep in the upper of bunk beds. Fell out of bed one night and jammed head in guzunder, pottie, chamber or whatever you might call the po. Fortunately it broke - otherwise I might have drowned and would not be re-telling my experience now. Got a nasty gash though, which required stiches. Len |

I read a tale a while back, about some deer hunters, the fuse for the lights on the vehicle blew so they replaced it with a .22 bullet, which was the right size, physically.........yep you Guessed it, the bullet overheated eventually and shot the driver in the leg.......he lost control and they rolled into a nearby ditch........... |

When I was five my Dad was showing off his skills at twirling my brothers toy cowboy gun round his fingers. It shot off his finger and smacked me clean on the cheekbone. Blood everwhere, still got the scar! Then when I was about 10 I was fighting with my brother over a pair of scissors, he let them go and they stabbed right into my leg! Christine |

Got a broken nose playing tennis. Tried to return a volley using said snatchet instead of racquet. My sister got her nose broken playing table tennis. Her doubles partner swatted her accidently. len |

I put an extra paving slab outside door near to the cat flap so that our new Jack Russell puppy dog wouldn't keep catching his undercarriage on the cat flap door. Th first afternoon that I stepped outside my foot went over I was poleaxed and badly dislocated and broke my ankle. I had to have the tibia and fibula attached with a piece of meccanno and 8 screws. It's true that broken bone injuries can forecast the weather my ankle aches when it's going to rain. Louise |

I fell out of the back of the local Scout Group lorry doing a waste paper collection. It was a new (to them) lorry and I was half way down the lorry facing forwards when it moved off, staggered backwards down the lorry and tripped over the (low) tailboard. Landed flat on my back in the road WITHOUT hitting my head, if I'd tumbled a bit further I'd probably have split my skull open! Had a stiff neck and a click in it when I turned my head for years afterwards. |

Umm, yeah not a good idea. Was an alien gangster once for Halloween, which involved painting my face green, applying fake blood and spraying my hair red and green. Thankfully that night didn't end up in A&E or anything, lol. |

I was cycliNG to school when I was 15,when some prat of a driver opened his car door. This sent me across the road right under the front of a huge bus.It all happened so quickly, the world stood still.I have never forgotten the poor bus drivers face as he came round the bus to see if I had been squashed, and the relief when he saw that I had missed the grill by 1/2 inch. I hated fuss and insisted in walking on to school where I sat my Geography 'O' Level and failed it miserably.I left the exam room after the exam, and passed out at the door. CAN'T THINK WHY!!! |

This didn't happen to me but it still makes me laugh to this day. This was NOT an accident. When I repped abroad we use to have parties for the workers to get together and meet. We were having a fancy dress party and three of the lad reps decided to go the whole hog. They dressed as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with shells on their backs and wearing the appropriate colour depending on whether they were Donatello, Raphael, Michaelangelo or Leonardo! They also decided to PAINT themselves green! They used a pot of paint that they found and painted themselves ALL over! The effect was brilliant. Being hospitalised with lead poisoning due to the paint being floor paint was not so brilliant! They lived :-) becx |

Well, nothing serious but I remember at Uni, being out one evening down the Student Union and we were all leaping around to a song being played (probably Jump Around by House of Pain) and the floor was a bit slippy with spilt drink and I remember sliding it on and crashed down on my left knee. The alcohol that I consumed manage to numb the pain and I got up and went back to leaping about, but that knee hurt like a b*stard, the next day! |

I fell off a moving bus... It was actually quite scary at the time but now I can laugh about it. I was a bit hungover/still drunk and there was three of us shopping in London. We'd got on a bus but realised it was going to the wrong place so the other two jumped off before it moved. I went to jump off but for some reason didn't let go of the pole... I was dragged along for about 10 metres and then my brain finally connected with my arm and told me to let go! Becx (tears rolling |
