Thank you once again , I’m going to have a good look at this tomorrow , terrible migraine today , it’s all a bit delicate , so I have to be careful , these people are all my relatives, but I’m not sure any of them new about me . With the help of a lovely lady I have only just managed to track down a living sister of mine, she’s actually 80 , I’m 57. Hazel my mother registered me with her husbands name , but he wasn’t my father, he had up and left years before I was born. In case you don't know -

your father was born 6 May 1922 in Hampshire.
His parents were either Arthur George Kinge and Julia E Newman, who married in Basingstoke in 1914, or Charles H Kinge and Bessie L Newman who married in Basingstoke in 1920. Arthur and Charles were brothers, and Julia and Bessie were sisters.

He married in Hampshire in 1974, and died in Portsmouth in 1989.

His wife MAY have remarried in 1989, in the same quarter as your father's death.

Just for info even if hazel husband had left her she was still legally a Cullum so that’s the correct way to register your birth as Cullum

Am assuming she didn’t name a father on the cert though

There’s a Carol smith who has an extensive tree on ancestry
