Good morning everyone!

Thanks for doing breakfast Cynths, though just a small one for me today as I am too tired to eat very much.

Just been downstairs and there is still some 'bomb damage' to sort out ! - The house took at least half a dozen direct hits throughout the day yesterday and I spent all day running up and down stairs clearing up debris from every room !!!!!!!!!!

Oh, no, - It wasn't an 'air raid', it was the grand-children ;-)

Anyway, the results were much the same and this morning my whole body is so 'weary' I can hardly lift my fork up to my mouth..............perhaps I will try laying my head down next to my plate on the table and just 'shoveling' it in........ I think I can manage a 'gentle munch' and will try not to nod off before I swallow it. :-D

Went into the CBD today, and we had lunch with my Daughter who was up from Wellington (staying at that posh hotel The Langham) for three days with her work. .. We went to an organic place... and I had a lovely bowl of Pumpkin and Parmesan soup with bread very nice on a bit of a cold day.

I believe I am having soup for lunch tomorrow as well... just me will be traversing our harbour bridge to my cousins for lunch and another cousin will be there as well... They both work in the education sector and it is school holidays. One of them is matron at a boys boarding school here in Auckland.

What a shock to the system that was. Absolute chaos but a least they missed me and provide my coffee on tap. Got to go back soon :-( but at least I'm off on Friday.

Son has been made redundant whilst I was at my Mums. He got a phone call on Sunday from the owners to say they are closing the business with immediate effect and his services were no longer required. He only worked part time, been there 3 years. They could have said last week or even on Friday at the end of his shift. I have sent him to the local employment law guy to make sure he gets what he's entitled to. It could have been worse, it could have been by text

I feel just the same Ginns and I have done hardly anything all day !!

Put your feet up and have a large mug of tea !! - Followed by a glass or two of wine and a cuddle from JB.

So sorry about that Toots - what a shock and what a way to receive the news - such short notice. Hopefully something will turn up very soon.



Whilst he was here for a meal tonight, my son looked out of the window at my washing line and looked very puzzled. "Don't tell me you're washing you're Brillo pads!" he exclaimed. I tartly informed him that those 'brillo pads' were, in fact, the filters from my vacuum cleaner!!!

I wouldn't mind, but he really, really thought we were washing our brillo pads.....I mean......what does he think we are? Pensioners?????


Huh.

Yeah well Cyn, he's probably too polite to say 'You WASH your filters'

I could munch on that cheesy garlic bread....two bits please, with salt!

Put plenty of garlic in that cheesy garlic bread Dea,it may help keep the old witch away.. ;-)

Of course I wash my filters - every week hactually! Have you looked at the gubbins of your vacuums lately? Filthy they get. Absolutely filthy.


You need a good hefty rugby player to run up and down your spine Gins...that would sort you out!

We dont have washable filters in the Vax or in the robotic one they are paper thingys

Holy Moly...I dont even use me Ooover once a week let alone wash the filters once a week,so my house must be MUCH cleaner than any of yours if I only need to Ooover once a month..... :-D

Fans dear, just try and find your filters and you will see wot I mean. I get hardly any 'fluff' but you should see the muck that comes out when I rinse the cleaner head. Ewwww

Oi.....witch maybe, but be very careful about 'old' as you is much older than this witch
