He divorced her in 1972 and yes I lived with my mum and dad since birth they had 5 girls together

Jacqueline Report 6 May 2015 16:02

The 1975 death cert should say who the woman's husband was............plus the woman's maiden name and birthplace

Jeanerin

Jeanerin Report 6 May 2015 16:03

Yvonne I will buy that certificate as I know his sister lived in burnt oak and the registration district is Hendon and Jacqueline I think you might be right I could not see the boy in the photo being 2 years old I always thought he was about 4 or 5 which would be the right age if he was born in 1940 thank you all for your help

Jeanerin Report 6 May 2015 16:22

Just looked at the Birth Dec 1940 it is not my dad's son it say's Hendon Buckinghamshire he was in the navy on a death certificate I purchased for the death of a Sarah Elizabeth Thompson born 1912 died 1975 in Hebburn the son who registered it was John Henry Thomas so that was the 1940 Birth and it is the wrong death certificate so I wasted my money

Jacqueline

Jacqueline Report 6 May 2015 16:31

There must be more info on the death cert............what is it?

And why are you ruling out the 1940 birth? Your father's being in the navy isn't relevant

If you don't have the birth cert, you can't be certain of anything

please don't jump to conclusions without checking facts, and getting documentary evidence

Jacqueline

Jacqueline Report 6 May 2015 16:51

Hendon is in Middlesex

Jacqueline

Jacqueline Report 7 May 2015 17:29

What was that woman's maiden name? Where was she born? (The one whose death it was)

Don't know where you get the idea that Hendon is in Bucks................

As per freebmd

The district Hendon is in the county of Middlesex; information about it can be found here

Jeanerin Report 8 May 2015 10:00

Jacqueline the birth of John HT ancestry states Hendon Buckinghamshire on ancestry that is where I got the information I do not go on ideas and I know for a fact my dad was not in that area in 1940 he was in Hebburn as I have the electrol register for that year I know Hendon is in Middlesex I lived there most of my life

I give up.

You don't seem willing to answer relevant questions which are aimed at trying to help you, so you must go your own way. I wish you luck

The father doesn't give birth

You can't possibly have the ER for 1940...there wasn't one. There was a WAR on

Jeanerin

Jeanerin Report 8 May 2015 14:47

I Have answered all the relevant questions asked and it seems nobody takes any notice look back and tell me which I have not answered I have certificates and death certificates and have said so on the first page but if that is how you feel that is up to you

jax Report 8 May 2015 18:57

Why couldn't the child have been born Hendon? It was war time people moved around.... Maybe she was staying with a relative whilst husband was at sea?

Jeanerin,

May I suggest you reconsider that death cert. you purchased for Sarah E Thompson, for the following reasons.

Harry T.W. Thompson wed Sarah E, Flynn in March 1939 in Durham N.E

Harry T.W. Thompson wed M...y L...e in Sep. 1972 in Hastings --also listed as
Harry W. Thompson wed as above ' '' '' ''

The son born to Sarah E Thompson nee Flynn in Hendon 3a 1046 is listed as
John H.T. Thompson.

As you already have the death cert. for Sarah which should show John's address I think it would be worthwhile contacting him.
The only difference between the father and son is the W.

As for the Hendon being in Buckinghamshire..well there are folk on here who can tell you, myself included that Ancestry has had some glitches since they updated there site and folk are finding English people in US counties ect.

Best wishes
