	Is that your tree on Ancestry, Pam, showing Nancy's mother as Susan Thain, 1897 -1989 ? Another tree calls her Susannah.

	That looks like a good possibility, Alviegal. Can't prove anything, but maybe John Reynolds strayed into the path of Miss Thain in late 1916 or early 1917, which would make Thomas John Nancy's half-brother. (Would they have been close enough for him to be a witness at her marriage ??) I think you may have to buy a copy of Nancy's birth cert, Pam, and hope that her father is named - and find out her mother's first name.
