Recording Maiden names on Trees

I have just come across one of my distant Uncles who married someone who had been married before. How do I record the lady on my tree - do I put her maiden name or her previously married name on my tree?

Always use a lady's maiden name.

Always, always record female names from birth to death as the maiden birth name.
You cannot trace her ancestors using a married name !

Thanks Hugh. Yes I usually do record them with their maiden names, but I got a bit confused about her previous married name. I'm sorted now, thanks!
