For current renewal prices, follow the advice given above, Terry.
Look at all the different countries' versions of Ancestry to see what they're charging.

If buying through Quidco, remember that it's only ancestry.co.uk which gives (in theory) 25% cashback on Quidco.
That doesn't apply to other countries' versions.

Re the payment you haven't received cashback on -
assuming it was to Ancestry.co.uk, go to the page on Quidco where it lists all the activity on your account.
If your purchase isn't listed there, look at the top of that page, and
you'll see "Has one of your purchases not tracked yet? "
Click on -"Add purchase", and give all the details.

I've never tried that, so don't know how effective it is, but must be worth a try!

This offer is still active at ancestry.ca

https://secure.ancestry.ca/subscribe/signup/register/O-24217?rtype=11&flowId=11&o_xid=71211&o_lid=71211&o_sch=Email+-+Campaigns

Sign out of your Ancestry account if it welcomes you by name.

Register a free account with a different email address.

Then go to the above link again.

The 12-month World Deluxe Membership is $179.88 CDN

which is £108.50.

That is a big difference from £179.99.

Many thanks for your replies, I will have a look at your suggestions.

I have raised a Quidco claim ArgyllGran, the way you suggested. They assure me they are chasing payments, but no luck so far!

Ancestry.ca is emailing my free account again with its offer:

12 months worldwide for $180 Canadian

offer good to 29 August ... but if it's like the last one, the link for the special offer will just keep working ...

Should work out to about the same as in my last post, £108.50.

The link and process above should still work.

for anyone interested, the link

https://secure.ancestry.ca/subscribe/signup/register/O-24217?rtype=11&flowId=11&o_xid=71211&o_lid=71211&o_sch=Email+-+Campaigns

is still working.

1 year World Deluxe Membership $180 Canadian

which, at today's changed exchange rate, is about £107.

The price to renew my existing subscription at the UK portal would be £224.99.

The standard price at the Canadian portal is $300, which is £180.
So again, even without the special offer, using the Canadian portal is far cheaper (and Australia may be cheaper again).

If you are like me and your sub expires around Christmas/New Year, consider checking it out.

I will cancel mine under the account I am using now, right at the end of the month, and take out a new one under my other account at what seems to be the lowest price now available, $180 Canadian / about £107.
