ah!!!

Interesting ....

this is FMP's transcription of that 1841 Census. Notice the difference in Sarah's age??

James Hopson Male 22 1819 Middlesex, England
Sarah Hopson Female 28 1813 Middlesex, England

looking at the image ....... the FMP transcriber might well be correct!!

I have looked at several pages of the census, and there are about 6 examples of a number that is written in the same manner as Sarah's ....... most easily described as a backwards S lying on its side! ......... has to be an 8. 8 is the only number that is not very clearly written

so seems to be a total of at least 6 children. That also seems to have been the address for several years.
