I just got the Welford Road cemetary burials index 1849-1890 so let me know if you need any look ups. Its quite useful as once you have found the person you want by looking via surname there is another page that has the burials sorted in plots so you can see who else is in the grave

Hi Mike I would be happy for any assistance you can give me, so long as you have the time. You help so many people I wonder when you have time to do your own research! I must admit I am at a loss as to where to look next with regards to George and Harrietts births, apart from sending for the 1873 certificate, which I will do tonight. Jane, their mother, married John Collins in 1882 and so George and Harriett changed their surnames on the 1891 census, although George was listed as Geo Carter Collins. Interestingly George gave his surname as Carter when he married in 1910. Thanks again Bev

Hi Mike Thanks very much for looking. I don't think the double baptism will be my family. It looks like I will have to put my hands in my pocket and send for the 1873 birth certificate to find out one way or another if it's George's. I don't hold out much hope. I presume it wasn't compulsory to register children at that time. Thanks again Bev
