Since Rose (and many others) have given much of their time in helping posters, would it not be a good Idea and kind to show appreciation by charging a small fee
to register.

After all without the helpers many new subscribers would leave or not even join Genes.

Plus helpers of long standing and experience may miss being able to help

Whatever you decide Rose I wish you all the best , but hope you do remain..

Don't go Rose, I will miss knowing how life is treating you and your lad. I am here till next February, it's 11 years so far. I think I paid about £9 last February, continuous membership.

You can run Windows 10 entirely by voice.
For good results it needs a decent microphone.

I had an op on both my hands, Rose. It helped a lot.

More exercise would help my knees Ann ( the arthritis) but not my hand which is RSI ( I think, waiting to see if physio will help next month ).

Be way, you haven't lost your touch, love the poems. I am hopeful that a U3A creative writing group is going to start in this village soon.

The trouble is Rose, probably if you stop using your hands they won't get the exercise they need. My Mum had arthritis in her hands and she delicerately kept knitting do they didn't sieze up. However, I sympathise re your eye problem, that must be really frustrating. Is there nothing that can be done?

:-) It's not just here, I find it is more of an effort to post anywhere ( partly due to my eyes, and hand and arthritis lol ) I think I have just run out of enthusiasm, becoming more reclusive in all ways really lol . Maybe some time away and finding other things to do may make a difference.

Ann you are much more sociable than me :-) so you will always have people to talk to ( I mean by that that you contribute a lot on the gardening thread, and G readers and other long running threads which I have only ever popped in and out on)

Tenerife Sun, I am as sure as I can be that I won't find Harriett, I think she was one of the unrecorded deaths, and that it maybe accounts for her mother being in a asylum after the time when Harriett was last recorded. . That much I have found out that her mother died in the asylum, depression caused by the death? I'ts just a supposition though.

They charge me £ 7.50 for 6 months OR I can have the special offer of £ 19.50 for a year. Originally I paid £ 7.50 pa but they hosed me for renewing a month late a while back.

Given the ho hum security of the site I use PayPal which has the added advantage that I control the transaction not GR.

So cost me £17.96 this year Rose.
