Oh, norty Maria Airey.........and there was me saying how well she did for herself!

William Airey on the 1901 census, appears as Willam Ancy on Ancestry.

Apart from Patricia hoping to find out what happened to Minnie Skeen, I don't even know if any of this information is of interest to her?

As there were no words of appreciation, I do believe I have wasted many hours of my time.

He was born 1891 Salford.

He is on the 1911 census I posted, living with his married sister....Annie Lindsay.

Wonder if below Birth?, at bottom of first page on Navy Record, in 'blacky' patch!, says 'name given on entry to be adhered to, then what looks like 'although 9 May 1883?...

this has reminded me that there was a notice in an Auckland paper in 1923.this person was a CPO Airey of HMS Philomel seeking Minnie Egan. I did make enq's into this person & origin but got no response.

Walter's father William married Thomas's sister Maria.
