Yes, that's the right marriage and birth.

It wasn't unusual for people to swap their forenames around. If you have any doubts then purchase their Birth certificates.

One of my great uncles was John Edward XXX. The only (distant) relative knew him as Eddy.

Now you have the names of potentially living relatives use the search all members trees to see if anyone else has them listed. Then send the tree owner a message Remember that GRs T&C says you shouldn't list them on your own without permission.

Hi.I was wondering about.Charles, Frederick and Elsie morriss.my grandfather adolphus siblings.did they have children.my grandad adolphus died in 1997 and I saw him regular when growing up until he died,I can't understand why he wasn't in contact with any of them, what happened? As when my dad died in 2011 I was surprised to see my dads aunts (mums side) that I didn't know about,Peggy and anne.its quite odd really as I was never told they were still alive

From a free search on https://www.deceasedonline.com/servlet/GSDOSearch

Morriss, Albert Charles
cremated on: 08 August 1988
recorded at: Eltham Crematorium (Greenwich)
date of death 01 August 1988

You can purchase credits to view (min £5) & download the image of the cremation register. It will give you his normal residence, place of death, and the name and address of the informant who could be a relative. At £2, It's cheaper than a DC.

There are a number of relatively recent Morriss cremations at Eltham Crematorium.

"For the purposes of the UK Data Protection Act, the names and addresses of cremation applicants and the addresses of the deceased during the last 15 years have been withheld from publication". (from 1997, the information is available as computerised data only)

glad you realised you had a duplicate thread Joanne ... I will add the link to this thread to that one so you don't have to delete it and leave people wondering where it went :-)

usually most people don't want to try to find their way around other people's family trees ... I know it makes me batty to do that !

best to ask specific questions about specific people if you have them

did you find any of the people you do know by searching trees and have you tried to contact the tree owners?
