Can any one helpme find Elizabeth Martin 1842 Wasal Staffs.This is married name.

Martin was her married name thats why I'm having problems, 1911 census had her in Ilkley Yorks with her granddaughter Francis Stockdale, her gr grandaughter Naomi Martin and her Brother Joseph Wookey.But anything else I cant find. Naomi was my grandmother.

I did try going downthe line but got nowhere.

Francis was brought up by her granny. But the marriage is correct.

I think you need Frances' father really as she was born a Martin. Might be a marriage cert called for here! What a very tricky family.

Naomi did not take on her Fathers name. Charles Stockdale was her father..She married John Wall from Tunstall Staffs in Ilkley 18-12-1917. on the marriage cert' it says Martin.

Well, your best bet is to get Frances' marriage cert I would say, to try and see who her father was.
