hi all you brilliant researchers....the pieces are coming together....i think you may be are correst about sarah being unmarried and she was definately living next to her brother john...in 1841.Now is it possible to print these pages off, or not cos it would save me making all these notes that sometimes are confusing, later haha. You also quote all this fl film stuff with numbers, do you have access to special records and how do i get them or not.One final question with the parish records...to try and track sarahs marital state or not! and a possible father for geoge and james which parish???? bradpole bridport or all surrounding areas...i am a newy to all this so treat me as a pupil.....cheers all..i would reply indididually but i dont know how lol x sue w in aus |

If this is the correct Sarah, it would seem that she was 'unmarried' when she had George and James so you may never know who the father was but at least you now have a little info on Sarah's parents. |

i just want to say cheers for all your wonderful searching on sarah stone/symmons/hodder.Yes 1841 census is her household with my symmons(with whom she had no children)I have done all the census work but the mystery is......who was james and georges father??? born 1829 amnd 1831 because he is my grt grt grt grandfather..I know bridport, bradpole and shepton gorge are all significant in this mystery but i cant find any evidence in parish records .i am stumped.Ancestry sent me on a wild goose chase sending me a hint that sarah was from pays de atlantique in gorge france but may be that refers to the history of shepton gorge and the de gorge family. Also i can trace george movin to bristol and sarah until her death in 1902..and the hodders step family livin with the stone family in bristol.I also want to thank cynthis west on puttin me right about message boards....did nt have a clue how they worked..so cheers cynthia...anyway i live in australa now but will be home traling through dorset graveyards in about 3 weeks ...happy hunting |

These must be the sons Sue is referring to - note they are living with the John and Sarah above but transcribed separately: |
