I am trying to find Horace Hurst Son of Thomas Hurst and Jane Carey. He was born in Sheffield Dec 1891. He married Lillian Cook in 1920 in Cardiff and had a son Horace James Hurst 1921 and Mavis Hurst 1922. Mavis Hurst is very much still alive and has tried to help me with this research. She knew that her Aunt Louisa Hurst sister of Horace married Harold Turner and that there were other brothers Henry Nicholas Hurst, Frank Hurst and Samuel Hurst 1890-1891. I can find all the family members in 1901 but Horace Hurst and its driving me mad hahahaha His sister is living with Her Grandmother Martha Hurst nee Little aged 12, Henry is a boarder, and Frank aged 17 is still at home i believe in Sheffield with his parents Thomas and Jane. But Horace is no where to be found, please help me, Thanks Heidi |

June i'd love to know where he is, im so puzzled. The only thing i can think of that i have only just found out is that Jane Hurst nee Carey her parents were born in Ireland. I looked on the 1881 census and Henry N Hurst Horace's older brother was with his mum and grandfather Thomas Carey. |

I also checked what appears to be Jane Carey's only sibling Maryann as she married John Charlesworth, but they appear together with no-body else in the household in 1901 so he's not there. |

His death entry states 21 Oct 1891. He died in Cardiff May 1970 Cardiff, reg as East Glamorgan. Bur i have only just found this out after getting off the phone to his grandson. So it does tie in with 1891 in Sheffield. I tried to ask more questions had he ever been on holiday to Ireland to see his maternal grandparents, but the family are under the impression that he never did as his grandfather died in Cardiff |
