	Would anyone please be kind enough to look up some information for me. I am looking for information on My Great Grandad Robert Smailes, He was born 1887 ( i don't know what month )and died 7 November 1948 in Stannington Northumberland. I do know he was a General Labourer, One of his sons was called William Smailes ( born 22.4.1922 ) What i would like to know is if there is a marriage listed and who to? and what address he was listed at if possible. 	Hello Kirstie, Pretty sure it was Amble area, sorry can't be more exact with this. Sam from Stoke, Thanks i will go to freebmd. I know there was deff a Jane Smailes, I am pleased that you have maybe found the wife Elizabeth Renner ? ( this being the surname am i right in saying that ) Paula i am sure it was 1887 because he died in 1948 aged 61. I will keep looking tho'. Thanks everyone.

	Cassandra Lisa, they are deff the births of my dads Aunty and Uncles thanks very much, but regards the two females marrying in 1908 in Durham no too sure about that one lol!

	Cassandra, it could be his marriage, he was 21 in 1908 so could be right, i am not going to dismiss it at the moment. Lets hope we can find the two males next. I am getting a bit confused with it,

	iF he married Elizabeth Renner in 1920 he would have been 33, i think maybe he was to old ???? - sorry just clutching at straws a bit and trying to get it straight in my head. I thought that there was an Edmund Smailes listed as one of the brothers of William, Albert, Jane and Joyce. Nobody seems to know about the Annie Smailes born JUNE 1932. I have been trying to get onto freebmd.org this morning to double check the info i have, but i am struggling a bit. oh well i'll keep trying.

	Hi Teresa I've just looked on the complete marriage index for Mar Q 1908, there is Robert Smailes Sunderland Mar Q 1908 vol: 10a pg: 840 unfortunately it doesn't match up to the Ellen Webb from freebmd :-( cassandra

	I can't find a birth for Robert Smailes on freebmd, is there anyone who could try for me, He died in 1948 aged 61. I am also confused about his marriage, any help would be great x Many thanks Teresa.
