Cynthia, you admit that you cant cook, what would you know about gravy :-P

Cynthia Report 4 Nov 2011 16:58

I admit that I HATE cooking and willingly abstain from it whenever possible. I was taught to make gravy by my mother-in-law and, because my daughter-in-law was so enarmoured of it, the technique has been passed on. :-P

Settling down for a nice easy evening now.... :-D

Well, 'I' know how you feel Fans!!! - I have only just taken grandchildren back home :-0

As I had the two of them for tea tonight I 'agreed to' fish fingers, chips and beans.... yuuck!!.

They have stopped asking me for spaghetti as I refuse to buy that horrible tinned 'stuff' - I will buy baked beans but never 'that' ;-)

Grandson wanted a tomato sauce sandwich for lunch! - Needless to say, he had to settle for a ham + cheese toasted sandwich - FAR healthier ;-)

Hope he starts sleeping well for you in the nights and not getting you up too early in the mornings.

Just going to nip around the house clearing the 'bomb damage' from every room, then I am going to have a sit down and 'unwind'... phewwww!

Dea x

A baked bean and cheese toastie. They do like tinned spaghetti and sometimes have that in a toastie too........no accounting for taste really :-D

My grandson was more the up the ladder to see what the roof looks like when he was three... hence the fact that he fell off the high spot of the jungle gym at school when he broke his wrist.. he is a hammer and nails kid.. but now at 10 he likes to play computer games etc, some are not my kinda thing but he will play trivial pursuit and monopoly etc on screen and some of those skill type games... think I will try him on this one where if you click on the ball it will change colour but the thing is to catch the ball first. ... stupid game.

I did not poach that Cyns,,, I do poach eggs though. Cooking is simple we have toasted creamed corn and cheese.. I sometimes put thyme in that as well. I also eat tinned salmon toasties. Ham and cheese, pastrami and brie etc and my grandson will eat toasted baked bean sarnies forever..

I have just made ratatouille to go with our steaks and I was near the end of the tube of tomato paste and instead of it going in the pot of veges it squirted down my front. :-S :-( so I is grubby..

Spinach quiche sounds nice Sylvs... I am going to be in summer nightwear before too long... though we do keep having cold snaps... I would rather they were cold schnapps.
