OH has just phoned to say he is going to have his hair cut on the way home

He's often complained about his barber ................ but especially over the last 18 months or so, when the barber went on "holiday", leaving a locum to take over .......... he has still not returned, and the locum just cannot cut OH's hair

....... it has to be cut just right or he ends up with bits sticking up all over the place :-)

For years, I've been suggesting he try the girl I go to .............. she does both men and women.

He finally tried her just before Christmas, when he could only have a "tidy-up trim" because his hair had to be as long as it could be for the February opera. She cut it just as he wanted!

This is now his 3rd visit to her ....................... he loves the way she does his hair, no "sticky-up" bits ....... and .............

................. it's cheaper than he was paying at the barber's :-D

Hang on Gins......let me put my specs on....

Oh.....you're being a 'mentor'

Dea

Dea Report 20 Mar 2012 22:00

I can agree with that Ginns !!! <3

Sylvs - I know exactly what you mean.

My husband went to his usual 'barber' a couple of months ago and came back looking AWFULL !!!

This AWFULL state lasted for several weeks until it had grown out enough to have it cut 'properly' again

That one was in the same place but with a different person and, I have to say, was much better, BUT not very good!!

I just wish he would go to the person I go to - she also does male and female !!

Gee

Gee Report 20 Mar 2012 22:05

No, I'm not in hiding, it's just that I don't think I have anything worthwhile to add to the so-called "silly thread". Mind you, when I just checked it and, of course, I have to click on "post date" first. (Not going to read through 35,000 + posts), first thing I read was "She does both men and women". Well, I thought, they've gone from being silly to downright pornographic! Sorry, guys, read back and you're talking about hair cutting. Phew! Still think you're all silly though.

Gee

Gee Report 20 Mar 2012 22:39

Hows the weather?

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 21 Mar 2012 04:40

nah Margee

we're not silly

we're plain daft!

but, you know, it does provide a nice antidote to being serious all the time re finding ancestors that people have so very carelessly lost :-D

hello, everyone

The weather was really really strange in Canada on Tuesday!

Vancouver .... 6C
Winnipeg ...... ca 23C
Ottawa ........... ca 26C
Halifax ............ ca 22C

Vancouver's average for this time of year is about 10C, and Halifax about 6C or so ............ the others should both be 0 or below

This mornings bit of silliness:

There are three signs of old age: the first is memory loss. I can’t remember the other four.

Gee

Gee Report 21 Mar 2012 07:47

Shove up Dea, youre taking up half the sunbed with your bum and the other half with your breakfast

Cynthia

Cynthia Report 21 Mar 2012 07:52

don't know forgotten it....

I thought I had seen it all.

Justin Bieber has a perfume range. It is to reach our stores on April 4th. If they had put April 1st I would have understood that they were having us on.

My hairdresser is good but way too expensive. I was soooo happy where I used to go but she up sticks and left hairdressing.. was my hairdresser for years and less than half the price of this one and now it has had two price increases. I can buy a lot of groceries for that amount.

OH has a cheap haircut .. I do it. Have done for years, I don't think he would find a hairdresser where he can sit on a wooden chair in the bathroom with nothing on.
