Well done Dea. 100% correct. Consider yourself top of the class and award yourself a gold star.

Derek McCullock was commonly known as Uncle Mac on the programme.

that was a good quiz, Jonesy!

We sued to listen to the radio all the time .................. and I still have it on for much of the day!

We only watch about 90 minutes of TV a day ............... the news programmes between about 6 and 7:30 pm.

1 hour of local news, then look at CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Co), CNN, and BBC World.

we actually watch more TV when staying in motels and hotels ........... the light for reading is usually so bad, that we end up trying to find something to watch!

Oooooh Sylvs..........was it the BBC you sued? Hope you got a good payout! ;-)

Dea

Dea Report 7 May 2012 19:58

I know what you mean about those lights Sylvs!

I stayed in one hotel in Barcelona and I had to look at my maps and notes before the next day 0- had to go in the bathroom as it was the only place that I could see anything!

These energy saving bulbs are a right pain !!

I recently bought a 'job lot' of 100 watt light bulbs - hopefully they wuill 'see me out' ! ;-) :-D :-D

If anyone wants some, I am happy to share !

P.S. - I will swap one buld for an orange bubbly aero !!! (p + p included) ! :-D :-D :-D

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 7 May 2012 20:19

I just plain do not do Ironing <3

honestly!

the iron comes out about 3 times a year ............ usually because I have one summer skirt and 1 pair of summer trousers that do need ironing to look crisp.

Mind you, we do not have a drier, all clothes are hung on lines in the basement to dry .................... shirts and blouses on hangers. They dry with very little wrinkling.

Dea

Dea Report 7 May 2012 20:22

OOOhh - 'our Cynths' would absolutely HATE it there then Sylvia !!!

I would be happy to join you though !! :-D :-D :-D

Dea Xxx

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 7 May 2012 21:36

Dea

it's our choice not to buy a drier ........... haven't had one since we bought the house in 1972 :-D

Some times I do wish that we did have a drier ................. clothes last so much longer when they are not put in a drier, and I get really bored with them :-D :-D :-D

We were "environmentally responsible" before anyone even thought of that phrase :-D.

It is a lot cheaper, as we use much less electricity for either drying or ironing.
