I really thought you'd got caught in the surname board trap, which is a recurring theme on these boards..........causes no end of confusion........as if genealogy wasn't enough of a problem in the first place.

I would like to thank everyone who has helped me so far.
Because of the unusual surname of Lovegrove-Swinbourne it is becoming more difficult to find my great granparents because i can't find any of the surnames doing a search.
All help is very much appreciated.
If you look at the details above you will see what i mean & all additional information is there.
yes there was a little confusion about the surname, & i didn't know that there was an extention to it being Lovegrove-Swinbourne as my father didn't carry it over.
I appologise for any confusion caused by this & I still don't know why or where the Swinbourne came from, i can only think that when my great granparents were married they wanted to keep both surnames so it was hyphanated.

He wasn't sure of the Swimbourne connection himself so it's very doubtful. As far as he was concerned the name was Lovegrove.
I think it is just a case of someone who is very new and didn't know how much information to give.

Could it be that Robert has posted this on the wretched SURNAME board, and hasn't noticed that the name SWINBOURNE didn't appear in his message.

Why don't people check their messages AFTER they submit them?

I cannot understand why Robert did not actually read the replies that were posted........surely he would then have realised that in the early stages, we were looking for the name LOVEGROVE!!!

So this has to be him in 1911. Says Solihull on the original. Mother Sarah Elizabeth has been married for 13 years and had 2 children both living. So where does the Swinbourne come from. Unless Wilfred wasn't her husband's child!
