	freebmd has all bmd's from 1837 up to around 1940 Have you looked on there? What years are you talking about with this?

	Are you saying that your grandfather was born in 1852? Who did he marry? When and where was your father born? What was his name?

	Perhaps you aren't aware that until 1875, there were no penaties for not registering births.........so Thomas's birth may simply not have been registered

I cant find them on any census records, My father is Wilfred Cooke Bolton 1930 Dec 1/4 8c 523 His father Was Robert Cooke Bolton 1890 Mar 1/4 8c 472 His father was Thomas Cooke ??? occ was Gardener His father James Cooke??? from Marriage Cert Occ Farm labourer
