Hi Cathy, this is brilliant, thank you, so much how did you find that information out, so i can make sure its definately the right John?

Know this sounds silly but how would I be able to Link the John you have found above to my Arthur P Percival (as i can't find Arthur's Birth Record to confirm his mothers name which would obviously be on John's Marriage Certificate.

Wow I hope this is the correct John I would be soo happy! :-)

Hi Emma,

I don't know if it is the right John but I would think if you went to the Registry Office in Manchester they might look it up and see if the address is 24 Angel Street before you bought it. Some of them are very good apparently and they should also be able to clarify whether that address would come under the Salford district.

Also I think your husband's suggestion about going to your library would be a good idea too. But it is only a guess that it's the right record and I could be entirely wrong!

Let me know how you get on will you and I'll keep looking for the elusive Arthur P...... oh and please don't delete this thread as we might find some more records for you!

Good luck

Cathy

PS. I just looked on freebmd and searched for John Percival deaths between 1888 and 1897 in Lancashire and it's the only one that was in the Salford district and then found the record on Ancestry.
