If the 1901 I posted is correct then the 1891 Astra posted is the same family but take note that John is stated as Son In Law To the older Isabella .
That would make John wifes maiden name Fawcett ?.

Thank you Astra. Is this the correct John who has lost a few years since his wife died? I wonder where the 2 year old James Clifford was in 1881?? 1881 has Threpleton as mother in law so the coincidences of John with daughter Isabella Jane need more investigation.
I need anther coffee to assist the little grey cells.

Yes Susan, I have just found the same entry. Relationship Step Grandson needs some thinking about.

Mmm I was looking for a marriage for isabella from 1881 as she changes her name from Trippleton to Fawcett but the marriage is in 1872?? So why is she called Thrippleton in 1881??

On the 1881 original image she is living next door but one to a James Thrippleton age 30 a publican. Maybe her son.

When Anne Thri(e)ppleton marries John Milnes, William Firth Fawcett is her step father hence the step grandson.

This explains everything except why Isabel Threpleton had returned to her previous married name - mind you she was living apart from her second husband......
