There is not one showing with wife Catherine.

I checked again, and he definetly married catherine Legg 1903, maybe she died early?

I have already, but difficult not knowing her birth date or birth place

Birthplace has no bearing on death reg'n.

Have you looked for her in 1881? Or for her birth reg'n?

Of course, until you get the marriage cert, you don't even know if Legg was her maiden name......

As he does not appear in the 1911 census........it would be between 1903 and 1911.

Kate (Catherine, I suppose) was 10 years older than him, she died 1946 in Canada

It might benefit you now to include "Canada" in your title.
