Sorry folks my son has just broken his femur during an IronMan triathlon in Nice, France and so I've been offline all day. |

The person who has John Loombe Cory is called Frank. Forgive me for being stupid, but you seem to be called John?? |

Sorry but I knew of the Cory's but didn't know that lived adjacent to their brother/uncle and the name Fridrich Richert 12 without Cory surprised me. I wouldn't have suspected him there (and being daft wouldn't have recognised the Cory surname initially). Sorry to be seen to be unappreciative of your researches on my behalf. But William & Mary Ann were negotiating with the Boer generals and met Winston Churchill in Lindley before their town was burnt down by the British in their scorched earth policy. No record of the return sailing but nan was "packed off" to help her "poor" sister that had been so much in the "last two years" according to the letter written by the sisters' father JLC Brooke. |

Thanks everyone - seems that nobody can find her and her children. Maybe they were at sea sailing from South Africa to the UK. |
