	Perhaps another explanation why previous threads should not be deleted, or new ones started about the same family - its to help the lateral thinking process. So someone can't be found under the name they are known by - it might have been mistranscribed. People then look for close relatives - siblings, parents etc, and try to search for them on census. May be they will find the person who is being sought. If the initial searches are already in situ for all to see, people can look back on them and don't have to go through the same process all over again. :-)
