If you know who George Wood married we might be able to find a marriage which would give father's name & occupation which would help to point us in the right direction. Even if it is only his wife's first name and when they married and what census you have found them in.

Know I dont know much about him but think he married Hannah date of birth 1837 born in Dodsworth Yorkshire

We dont know which is correct amongst the info that we have researched and posted, so if you could be more specific that might help us all
