Would appreciate any information on the above ancestors...Henry Redford born circa 1841 probably in Derbyshire married to Selina Allen who was born in 1841 in Belper in Derbyshire, her name can also be spelt as Serena, I think that they married in 1863 and they certainly had a daughter called Elizabeth Redford

You need his marriage certificate to see if he names his father and to see if he was a bachelor or widower. Sometimes the age given on census returns can be out by quite a bit.

If the age at marriage was correct, Henry is more likely to have been born in 1841 unless he'd had his birthday in those first few days of January.

Yes, I know! (According to Henry when he married, but so far without any proof). That’s why I highlighted the occupation of the man who married to rule it out as part of the elimination process

I appreciate all your help and comments above but I really have come to a dead end.
I know for definite that Henry married Selina Allen in Milford, Derbyshire in 1863 but various census records, certificates and individual family trees give different information about Henry’s DoB and place of birth. DoB varies from 1838 to 1842 and place of birth shows as either places in Derbyshire or Ashton under Lyne.
His marriage certificate clearly states that his father was called John….can anybody help with information on his details and his ancestors?
