Marilyn your little old man went on holiday met a girl and got married so you will have to get another one in his place. I dont like the long tittle you have now Maybe it was Stephen who encouraged the little man in the first place..
I logged on as it is my Granddaughter Rebecca 17th birthday tomorrow she thinks she has a couple of books and driving lesson for her birthday she will get a surprise.. not saying what. she might read this Lol
Just had a friend phone me from Norfolk she wanted me to go up to her for my birthday. I told her it was nice of her. but I am not able to I have so many hospitals l appointments.. I had to tell her about Mike she was so upset she was my best friend in Norfolk..we went everywhere together.
Off to bed in a little while. Nite Rita x

Morning all Still very dark here Managed a Valentines card with Little M yesterday Today I am looking to see when chinese New Year is and do some crafts connected to that.
Well the photos of my son have gone off with his photographer friend, the last 30 years, waiting to see what he does with them. It was good going back through the albums. Not often we look at the old photos is it. Made me realise how seldom I took pictures of him on his own. He was usually with either his older oor younger sister. There are lots of him holding babies too, either his cousins, all are younger than him............... or various minded children. Yes I do remember most of the little ones. Though fortunately I do tend to name and date most of my photos too. A habit I developed as Mum has so many pictures with no names at all. She had 6 of us and hard to decide which child is which sometimes, especially when we were in prams which all look similar.
Well off to make a cup of tea.
Have a good day everyone
Hope all is OK with your husband Maddie

Morning All,
Maddie I hope OH is OK and results are reasonable to cope with.
Pete has to wait 2 months for his op........but would not consider it private as the Consultant said save your money it probably wont have another attack in the near future, So he said have your holiday and it will be done as soon as you come back. My friend has the same op next week so Pete will be looking on to see how she gets on.
Pauline , yes I do log off every time I change my board name and I have created about 4 character faces but is does not WORK GRRRRRRrrrr.
I think GR has it in for me , think they are man haters ..LOL
Now having my breakfast ,as Stephen is not available I'm finding it a poor show really . Maybe its just as well I'm on my diet .......so Stephen if your watching you can eat all your fry-ups YOURSELF !!! ..
Hi to Pauline & Linda.....

Our Feathered Friends - Part 5:-
Near neighbours of ours kept pigeons for a while - a bit like Jack Duckworth‘s coop. Molly, the woman of the house, was a kindly person. I popped in one day to ask if I could take a look at them.
She probably had better things to do but she took me out the back to observe them for a while. Molly explained that pigeons were members of the dove family & because of their great homing instinct, were used in times gone by for carrying messages. We have all heard how they were used as message carriers during various wars. These days, mobile phones would probably do the same job.
At school, our teachers were always reminding us to be more like the wise owl. The owl says little & listens a lot. Unfortunately, the noisy classroom of 10 or 11 year-olds was sometimes the reverse. A group of owls is known as a ‘parliament’ - but I’ll exclude any other political discussions here.
That’s about enough from me & my childhood memories of the birds around us. Apologies for rambling on a bit. I just thought it was nice the way people took some of these birds into their homes & made them part of the family. We know that our ancestors did so too from the many references to these birds in our music & folklore.
So, I hope that those who come after us will continue to live in harmony with nature & especially with ‘our feathered friends’. (18th Century Nursery Rhyme).
Sing a song of sixpence, A pocket full of rye. Four and twenty blackbirds, Baked in a pie.
When the pie was opened, The birds began to sing; Wasn't that a dainty dish, To set before the king?
The king was in his counting house, Counting out his money; The queen was in the parlour, Eating bread and honey.
The maid was in the garden, Hanging out the clothes; When down came a blackbird And pecked off her nose.
There was such a commotion, that little Jenny wren; Flew down into the garden, and put it back again.

Oi Mrs Shelly, share them chips around, I fancy a nice chip butty.
Dermot, when my children were small, we did all the actions to that nursery rhyme. Oh memories. It's amazing how these rhymes get carried on through familes, as my grandchildren were taught it as well.
I hope everyone is o.k. Whats happened to Jean today, I bet she's snuggled up indoors in the warm, lucky girl.

Maddie hope OH is ok. Hello everyone, ~~~~~~~~~~~~~to Stephen. Dermot its lovely to read your stories, I think we have all enjoyed it. Cold and dry here today and the sun is out which always makes it better. Have made a huge pot of soup to feed the clan tonight (cream of vegetable) and some cheesy garlic bread. Feeling tired today but don't know why as I slept like a log last night. Hope Jean is alright and not been over doing things. Back later,
Cath xx
