Hi all
Just got one of the certs I sent for. I thought I had got the wrong one but looking closer I think the registrar spelt surnames wrong, father's occupation is correct and father and mother christain names are right, the mother couldn't write so perhaps registrar misheard her.
Jean pleased you found good homes for your horses, they've been a big part in your life so you will miss them.
Shelly MY OH thought he had lost all our photos of our holiday last year when our PC went wrong, he asked the shop to back up stuff to external hard drive but they didn't do everything but luckily he still had them on the memory chip on his camera.
talk later x
Hi Marilyn didn't see you there

Good evening everyone.
Stephen, you wouldn't have woken me up, I was soundo. I didn't wake up till 8.15, I must have been shattered. Enjoy your tea, speak to you later.
Marilyn it sounds like you need to go and see a psychic, to find out who the marriage certificate is for. Or have you got some magic powers we dont know about. Some people don't realise when they type a message, that it comes over very severe. And I can't stand rudeness, especially when there is never a please or thank you, to accompany the request.
Well done Yvonne, on getting the correct certs. It's a great feeling isn't it, when we find the correct family. Not long now till the meet, I cant wait to see you and Jean.
Pauline our meal was great, plus no serrvice charge. I enjoyed my prawn cocktail, followed by a rack of ribs and all the trimmings. We couldn't manage a dessert as we were absolutely stuffed.
I wonder if Linda is enjoying the sunshine, lucky girl. But she does deserve the break away,as she works so hard.
Rita, I have got everything crossed for tomorrow for you love. mwah xxx
We were treated to a lovely lunch out today, by our youngest son. That's little Lilly's dad. Just my luck, Lilly slept all through the lunch hour, so I didn't get my cuddles, ahhhhh shame.
Jean, I am sorry you are missing the horses. But they have at least gone to good homes haven't they, and will be well looked after by their new owners. Will you be able to go and visit where they are being stabled. At least that way, you can put your mind at rest knowing they are o.k. You can now devote all your love and attention on your Vanna horse. How is little Scarlette settling now. Is she still with you and your son.

Evening everyone, Had a busy day today and a puncture on way home from school. Took me nearly half an hour to change it,.lol. Car full of shrieking little ones didn't help. Dinner was late as I'd forgotten to turn slow cooker up to high before I went out. Got home just in time for 3 year old to throw up on my new shaggy rug, poor little thing looked really green. Ah well, C'est la vie.!! I'm glad I can get an early night. Rita good luck for tomorrow, will be thinking of you. Jean I do hope it will be possible for you to visit your horses some times.
Cath xx

To be quite honest Stephen I dozed off after my chicken curry! I think I watch the football. Sometimes really good goals are scored. I can still remember the magic goal A young David Beckham scored in 1996. when he was only 21! I shall have to try a G & T at my sisters Marilyn!

Yoobs??? Never heard of that before, Shelly! I've heard of Nitty Nora though.
Marilyn, I think I got a PM off the same woman as you last week, it just said.............. "Who did Henrietta Marry" (no question mark or anything, didn't even say Hi). I've got about 6 people in my tree called Henrietta and I'd never been in contact with the woman before, so I had no idea who she was talking about.
Pat, G&Ts are lovely, especially with ice and a little bit of lime, if I wasn't on my way to bed - I'd have one now.
Maddie, does your nurse's uniform come with seamed stockings?
Wasn't a good day for you Cath was it? Never mind, tomorrow's another day.
Glad you enjoyed your meal Mo and it must have tasted better - knowing that there wasn't a service charge.
Jean, my niece has a couple of horses and she said she's just bought a gypsy horse. I asked her what she meant and what the difference was, she said it would grow to be very big and strong. Is that the kind of horse that you've kept to pull your Vardo?
Stephen, where were you when you were talking to Neil, where did you see him? Not sure he'd suit a beard.......... I don't like beards.
I know Stephen hasn't got a beard but haven't seen a photo of Dermot............. have you got a beard Dermot?
Yvonne, I've just sent for a cert and I'm not sure I'll get the right one because both the surnames have different spellings to what is on the census records.
Keeping my fingers crossed for you Rita.

We only had one word and that was nits ...
I can remember my mother always on a Friday night combing our hair with those tiny white teeth combs that hurt like hell.. I cant think why they were white as one day in school the girl in front of me had nits and I was watching them in her hair and they were white !! So how was that comb going to show any nits ..LOL
Dont remember vinegar Shelly ....is that a LONDON thing ?
we just had carbolic soap....LOL

Oh God, I remember those small tooth combs, ours was black not white. I always tried to avoid it, it was a nightmare getting one of those things pushed through thick curly hair. My mother would ask me who I'd been playing with at school and - depending on my answer - I would get dragged across the room to the light of the window and she'd use the dreaded small tooth comb on me.
I often used to lie to her so she wouldn't use the comb on me.
Still don't know that word gibbs, Shelly, we just called them nits or dickies.
