Morning all
Dull and overcast here at the moment. But very warm. Slept poorly and woke too many times to my world going round. Well dentists today, so guess it will be Drs tomorrow.
We had friends to dinner yesterday, we all had a nice time and their little girl of 20 mths even slept leter so they could chat.
Mungo Jerry now that is a blast from the past. Used to go to a pub "The Master Robert" on the Great West Road in Hounslow when hubby and I were courting(Such an OLD expression) and The group were just a lot of local lads who were good and actually made it !!! Interesting times. Liked their music and reminds me of the long, hot summers we used to have, I am sure we had better weather when I was young LOL

When I was in Dawlish on Saturday I couldn't but help think of the summer of 1976. I was in Dawlish 4th July 1976. It was the bi-century of American Independence and I was listening to radio one on my tranny :-D

This is the truth my eldest son Michael went on a holiday and is a good swimmer use to swim for middlesex he was in the water and felt something hit his shoulder and felt a nip so he swam like mad to the shore, thinking it was a shark. as he had been told they did swim about there now and again. he rushed out and sat on the sand then found it was a tooth he had hanging around his neck on a chain . it was made out of a shell it was years he had to live with that one from the family.he had forgotten about that when he went swimming.

By the way I can recall listening to a cyrstal radio set. my Dad had one and use to take it to bits when it went wrong and repair it. it belong to his father.

Morning all, not very nice here, it's dull and damp. I'm waiting for the plumber to get here, my son's wheelchair demolished a thermostat.......... well, the chair didn't do it on it's own.......... he did have a hand in it.

I'm having a problem with my cursor, it's disappeared, I can't see where I'm typing now. That's never happened before, oops.......... it's just come back. Spooky!!

Linda, I asked my 17 year old niece if she was still courting the same boy as last year and she said "What's courting?" I didn't even know that people didn't use that word anymore.

I'm kinda back to normal. my sister has gone to stay with my other sister this morning.

Oh dear its quiet here now in my house ..LOL

I got loads to catch up on ,ironing is piling up and housework needs a little attention.

Stevey my friends husband died this February and when she came to see me yesterday ,she was telling me that its now time to sort out some of his clothes....Hes a Scot ! and she made me laugh by saying there is one thing that she would never part with and guess what that was? ...............His Kilt .......
Hmm..... don't know what she is going to do with it maybe fantasize a little ?

I'm back from the hospital, and they let me in, I wasn't sure what to expect but they showed me some really good breathing techniques which i have to practice for a month and then go back.
We've only had the one couple view our home at the moment, I hope we soon get some interest.

Sun is out now thank goodness, it was dull and cloudy this morning.
Guess who got up late today? I was supposed to be at work at 7 but didn't wake up until 6.50. :-( I made it for 7.30 so not too bad. Also discovered another scratch down the side of my car :-P :-P :-P a blue one this time, thats the second time in a month.
Bubble and squeak for tea so no cooking this afternoon, think i'll go out and chalk on the paving with my 3 angels, lol.
Hope all the friendlies are well and Shelly you can't disappear for 6 weeks, we'd miss you too much :-D
