Glad to see you had a nice birthday Rita, you must be very popular to get so many cards. I don't get half that many, I mustn't have as many friends as you - maybe I should go out more.....lol

Marilyn has Rita put you off your electric blanket? I hope you get it checked.

I don't watch that soap Mo, so I've got no idea what you're talking about, I sometimes watch Corrie though.

I don't know how that last post has just come up, I clicked on it half an hour ago - round about the same time as Linda and Marilyn posted. It mustn't have wanted to do 3 at once.

Linda, I'm coming round to yours as well, wait for me Marilyn.

Laying extra places at the table!!!! Please advise as to your time of arrival, then I can prepare the food according to when everyone gets here LOL

Managed to knock off the ironing.

My daughter and son in law came this morning they have just left he told me all about this new machine for cancer probing he gets the results tomorrow. they came around with a pot of yellow Roses, a large box of Ferrero Rocher chocs. and a little toy dog I saw one at Christmas and had remarked I would love one of those you press the ear and it rolls all over the place and laughs the laugh is really catching you find yourself laughing as well.
she said she was surprsied how many cards I had she only had four or five.
I showed her my present she asked to see them I said I had to put them on the bed in the spare bedroom till l sorted out where they would go. I said to think you came today I posted of the book of Granddads life yesterday she could have taken it with her.
She took some birthday cards for her family she said dont post them I will take them with me.

for my dinner
roast potatoes, Roast Beef and cauliflower and Broccoli and fresh fruit salad so I will be full up after that lot.
weather is not too bad now sun out but the sky is quiet black in places/

Hubby is accusing me of throwing out his summer sandals that are brand new, I must admit I do throw out sneakingly some of his clothes as he would be living in Victorian times if I didn't.
So he is hunting like mad in the bedroom ..LOL
I bet they are in the loft as he does tend to buy, then put things in the loft.

I am back I pigged out with my dinner so needed to walk about the flat to get myself motivated. I am always lke that if I eat too much.
I have done the washing up. and sorted a suitcase out as I am thinking of going to my sisters on Tuesday for a week she keeps going on at me about not going to stay so I am weakening. I told her if we dont get snow I will be there, she meets me at Waterloo station and takes my case and mothers me.
I have a big wash day tomorrow morning so I like to get things out of the way before I go away.
Is there antyone here who is like me gets everything ship shape before going away. I empty bins and the recycling stuff throw out to the bird bits of food from the fridge. vacume the flat. I leave a little note on the unite what l need to do when I get back like phone someone or a doctors appointment I thought I would get better at doing these things as I got older but I am getting worse.

Yes Rita, I do all those things as well, not that I ever go far but I still do all that first.

Oh thank you Marilyn, you're not much of a friend, fancy not waiting for me - I'm lost now. I was relying on you showing me where Linda lives - got off the train and looked all over for you. After an hour, I decided to make my own way there and got lost. Cold, wet and hungry now.

Can't go to Rita's either because she's eaten all her dinner - going to look for Yvonne's house now.

Really lazy today, but I have fish cakes from Sainsb*rys and they are delicious.
Hubby not complaining, but still hunting for his shoes ..!!

He's now picked out a pair from the net and wants to order them ,but I said wait until tomorrow you might remember where you have hidden them .

Hello girls.
I have just finished my dinner,we had turkey breast,roast potato's,and veggies.
Poor pauline,she's wandering around all over the place,looking half starved. Never mind,go home now,and have a hot bath and warm yourself up a bit.
Mind you I don't blame the girls for wanting to come to you,Linda, that menu sounded lovely. I hope you all have a smashing time.
Rita,I like Ferrero Roche,they are one off my favourite chocolates. So save one for me please.
You did do well with all those birthday cards. Just shows how much you are thought off.
It must have been nice having your daughter turn up like that.
Marilyn,are you sure you did not get rid off his sandals. I dare not touch any off Roly's clothes. I have thrown out things in the past,and then got in such a row over doing it. And yet he may not have worn them in years,but he never forgets what he has got in his wardrobe. Well you know what they say about elephants.

Hubby is the same as your Roly he will not let me even tidy his clothes in the wardrobe.
Do you know what I do ? very sneaky of me. Every so often when I think that a piece of clothing looks tired or even out of date, I bundle it up one at a time and put them under the spare bed.........now after about 6 mths I know he no longer needs them ,so off they go in the Charity & Bin .....he's none the wiser . LOL

I have done this ALL my married life.
Only once he spotted some clothes of his when I stupidly mixed them with mine and he spotted HIS ,but at the same time he was putting the bag of clothes into one of the Salvation Army bins ,and his face was a picture he looked at me and said have I just thrown away my clothes ?

Oh I said just an old shirt because I burnt it on the iron ....LOL

Well I got away with it....

Now he still cant find those sandals, in the morning he's taken his car for service so I am going to rummage through his wardrobe and cubby holes.
