Linda .....Where are you going on holiday ????????

Hows everyone ??????

I have been a good Samaritan today and taken my step mother to the Eye Infirmary.....she's 96 yrs but only looks 76yrs !!

Its been raining all day today .

Had my neighbour in today so sad he & his wife are separating I was gutted
and shocked as ,they have 3 children.
You know when you get a sense of something wrong I had known something not quite right for several months now , how right I was, be sorry to see them go, they are both lovely,

Thats life I suppose it happens.

Now I'm looking for that Sue again ......where are you ??

It's so sad when that happens Marilyn. I know from experience off my son and his wife. It's always the children who suffer in the end. My two grandchildren, from the marriage, play both ends against the middle. But my ex DIL is absolutely the best mother they could have. My son is the unreliable one unfortunately.

~Whippet Lady~ Report 25 Feb 2010 19:51

Well I know it's been a while since I last came on here but it's changed yet again!!!
A very dear friend of my mum & mine passed away last Friday & we have been helping the family, also she had 4 dogs which were in our care(along with another lady) should anything happen to her.

I can't remember when I was last here, I usually have a look at past posts to see if I have been asked any questions but not sure how far to go back???

Mo in Kent Report 25 Feb 2010 19:57

Hi Lady it seems ages since you were here. I think it was after your last competition.
Sorry to hear off your sad loss. Will you now be keeping the dogs,or are the family going to take them on.

~Whippet Lady~

~Whippet Lady~ Report 25 Feb 2010 20:03

No they are all males & we don't keep males (apart from my sisters dogs) The lady who passed away was very organised and the 2 dogs whom she purchased are to go back to their breeders & the 2 she bred herself are the ones we are to find homes for . One of which is going to one of her other friends so we only have to find a home for 1 which won't be difficult.

I had another show on saturday where I showed 2 of my dogs & the family wanted me to show the friends dog & he won a 3rd so I was really pleased. mine didn't get placed but I only entered to support the clubs first Championship show. Sorry rambling again & boring you all to death

Mo in Kent Report 25 Feb 2010 20:11

Why would you be boring us Lady. It's a shame your dogs did not get anywhere.
I know I seem pretty dim,but do you breed dogs. I have never asked you
before. And after my asking you ,about what type off work you do,I feel pretty stupid asking this question.

~Whippet Lady~ Report 25 Feb 2010 20:55

I do occasionaly bred & am hoping to have a litter in the summer, my last litter was 5 years ago.
I don't mind you asking at all...if we don't ask we don't know

Shelly glad you got something to sit on .....at least hubby will be able to snooze while your on the lappy.
Anyway I'm not letting you in my house while I'm away because my brother is in it ! Ha ha ... so your all out in the TENT again ........LOL

You would be surprised, they are not at all like what you think a Whippet pup to look like. They weigh about 11 - 14 oz born & quickly gain weight & best described as fat maggots..lol

Hi all.
Well then girls,we will decide when we are having this party, after Maz has gone away.
Pauline, you and Shelly contact her brother and pretend that she has agreed that we are taking over from him for the weekend to give them a break.
Sue,get the vehicle sorted out,and don't forget we have to pick Yvonne up on the way.
Mind you thats if we can get Shelly away from her new three piece suite.
What colour is it anyway Shelly.
Don't forget the tents, and sleeping bags girls, just in case we cant get rid off Maz's brother.

Pauline $(*-*)$ Report 26 Feb 2010 23:34

No-way am I sleeping in a tent Mo. If Marilyn's brother doesn't let us in, we'll just set Sue on him. Have you seen Sue when she's angry? He won't stand a chance!

Just pack your glad-rags, we've got nothing to worry about.

I've been busy working on my tree on Ancestry, it's taken me 2 years to find the family of my GG grandfather, and now I've got them all. I've got his aunts, uncles and cousins coming in thick and fast now.

I've been busy Shelly, then I left the lappy on and fell asleep.

I just came over to turn it off before going to bed.

Are you finished your course work now?

Typical me, missed saying have a good holiday to Linda was it, but hope I am in time to tell Marilyn to behave herself on her hols, have a super time and will catch up with you when you get back.
Have been catching up with some old friends from Malta, now living in Canada, so haven't posted much tonight and been busy other nights with other emails and such.
Raining cats and dogs in Norfolk lately and more to come, I am fed up with it.

Will let you know how the counselling goes but am jarred off as o.h.'s shifts have been changes with someone taking some days off for holiday, so it means instead of him being out of the way 2pm till 10pm mon to Thurs inclusive, he is doing 6am to 6pm mon and tues. Means he will be home not long after I get back from counselling asking the ins and outs of it, I won't be telling him of course, but also I will have to cook a proper meal too, and only two evenings of peace weds and thurs when i can catch up with phone chats. Grrrr!

take care all

love
Lizxx

Hi Liz, I wondered where you were. Marilyn is still around, you haven't missed her. Rita's been away but she should be back soon.

We've had loads of rain here as well, nonstop for days, everything's flooded. I don't think we'll need to water the garden for about 3 years.

Shelly, did you go to bed early? I didn't see you around in the early hours.

Oops, forgot to make the tea and coffee.
