It is very overcast and the humidity is bad you feel like you have no air l am sure we are in for a storm
l have all the windows opened but it is not making the slightest diffrence.
my anckles are all swollen today think it is due to the heat.
l thought it might be my arthrits l have drunk a pint of strawberry milk shake to day so far., being on steriods l have to have vitums C .
and was fed up with just milk.
l had my dinner followed by some strawberries with ice cream.

Outside my Front room windows l have a bird table and bird trough. l am watching a baby squirel going into the bird house while two birds a pigeon and a magpie are sitting either side of the opening staring in at him pinching their nuts another bird has come aong making a noise l think he is trying to tell the squirel to clear off home now the bird is dancing to and fro and still the squirel is not giving up.
he has just come out and the birds have flown in.

So glad you look after yourself with your food......its good to see someone that lives on their own eating properly. at least you do give yourself a choice of various foods.

Shelly I have looked after this grand daughter from 9am until 7pm and I am knackerd , and on top of that she seems to have got our colds.....poor little mite .
I have been a good grandma and nursed her with Calpol and lots of drinks,
Her Mother & grandson played GOLF !!! all day as it was a tournament .

My son is away on his job.......So what would they do without me ?????

Message from LIZ she is OK and said thanks for mentioning her .she will be back next week.

I an going to sit down and watch BGT in peace with a nice cup of tea.

quiet on here this morning Linda is usually the one first up. l wonder how the wedding went > l hope we get to see a photo of it.and hear all about it. she will have forgotten most when she comes back from her holiday.

Still no sign of Pauline perhaps she forgot to pay her subs ?

I watched the BGT last night what a show that was, hard to pick out one winner l did like the young boy drummer l hope he goes far because he really deserves too..
Spellbound did well didnt they ? like Amanda Holden said they would be ideal for opening the Olympics. there is a thread on chat saying the same thing. what a coop that would be. we have young talents that for sure. It is nice to see the young people doing so well.
It is cool this morning just right providing we do not get rain and storms..

Thank you for the remarks about my eating habits Marilyn l do try and work on getting the best menu for me each day. being on so many pills and being restriricted on what l can and cannot eat because of my warfarin makes it hard to get the balance right.
to day l am doing a chicken breast with roast potato's runner beans and carrots. small potions of course. l find l cannot eat large amount like i use to. l am going to make a small bread and butter pudding for afterwards as l have some bread that is begining to get stale.
let me know if anyone wants to come for dinner l can always add more.

Rita that's what I have got for dinner today , but got to pop out for some carrots later.

Now its getting serious with Pauline, I am sure something has gone wrong, unless her Lappy has fallen to bits ?
I know she would never leave us this long.........just hoping and praying things are OK.

l have just made a peach flan as well l thought l would put it in the fridge for eating during the week l just felt like doing things this morning my bread and butter pudding is already to go into the oven l have put mixed spice on the top only made a very small,one
l am doing more potato's than l need l thought l would do bubble and squeak for tomorrow.as l have some washing to do so that will be quick to cook.
Just had a long email from my eldest son my grandaughter had a car ac cident in the week she was hit by a lorry she is Ok but the car had a lot of damage but it is repairable she has a BMW white one he admitted it was his fault he didnt see her. but other cars saw what he was doing and sounded their hooters but it was too late then. l am thankful, she didnt get hurt.and the lorry driver didnt either.

Rita you are a naughty girl, you have made my mouth water with the mention off the bread+butter pud,and the peach flan. Just because I fancy them,it's sods law that I have not got the ingredients to make them. So I will have to put up with my banana,grapes,and satsuma instead.

We had a lovely thunder storm earlier. It threw it down with rain,but did not last very long.
Had a really good night at the ruby wedding celebrations last night. We got home at about 11.45,and I overslept this morning,I did not wake up till
10.30.

l have emailed Pauline to ask her if she is alright ?as we are all worried about her.

l enjoyed my dinner it was really lovely the bread and butter puddng went down a treat l have not made one of those for ages.
l cooked too many potato's l have enough for two bubble and squeaks now.
l boiled a couple of eggs thought l would do a little salad for tea tonight if not they will be used tomorrow.

l have been reading up on pensions l was surpised to find they starfted in 1908 . but Tom Paine thought about them in 1793 he thought the idea up of pensions and family allowance and tax. Lloyd George followed it up when Asquith Liberal Govement.
they started at 5 shilings a week up to 12 shillings you have to be 70 years old to get it. Lloyd George was said to state the pension would lift the shadow of the Work house on people who where unable to work. l wonder if there is a website that would give names of people who drew this penion. ?

Hope you are well.

Thank goodness its cooler today.

We went off to the park.

It was an inter-faith picnic get-together and then service.

At one stage, there was a lady vicar conducting the service.

I say a lady vicar! I don't mind in the least.

However, there were quite a few tut-tuts from the make shift pews.
Oh dear.

The youngsters want to see Robin Hood with Russell Crowe.

I remember when Kevin Costner played the title role.
The film theme was "Everything I do, I do it for you!" sang by Bryan Adams.

That was back in 1991!! Crikey!!
