you will not beleive this ? I got my foot stall out as my feet were aching I had a small doggie basket on the stall with two big furry dogs in it. as I moved the baskets a great big spider jumped out and ran like mad under the DVD cabinet. I dont know who got the biggest shock me or him. ? I think I will walk about with my slippers on now.
so now I am watching where I walk. anyone want a big spider. ?

It has been a lovely day today. it was cloudy after lunch and I thought rain we are in for that but it passed and the sun came out and still is at this time of night.

I wondered what tomorrow will bring. ?

have a good day dont forget if I get the lottery up tonight we will have a big party.

I'll get the cups out for in the morning.

And Liz, if you sneak in during the night and use the cups...........wash them up after you. And don't drink Lady's coke.

Hi Everyone,

I have been busy making curtains for my hallway as my new front door didn't like the old ones !! LOL

Mo ,no new neighbours yet, as they cant sell their house mind you they want £800 thousand for it , or £2 thousand a month for rental. Now who on earth has that sort of money here in Devon , it has mainly retired folk living where I am.
So its going to be empty for a long time ....

Shelly, you will have to come down here to Devon and show me a few things on Lappy .Pete not got patience for me he has for everyone else ,I wonder why ????..... I think I cheek him back too much & frighten him ..lol
Think you'll need Pauline with you as you might get lost !!! LOL

Now look at the time I should be in bed ,I'm on my own ...

Nite speak tomorrow ...xx

Edit ..Hi Pauline didn't see you there !

Pauline, I do hope your son is feeling better today, and painfree.
Linda, I bet your little love enjoys her time with you, did you go to feed the ducks yesterday?
~~~~~ Shelly, Marilyn, Lady,Yvonne, Liz and Steve, and anyone else who may look in.
Morning Jean, another day will soon be over of your treatment. Hope it is nice for you to get in the garden this afternoon.
Not looking too promising here at the moment. Still overcast and looking rather damp. Hopefully it will brighten up.
Yes we did get out yesterday and also popped in at a friends with some vouchers for half price swimming at a local pool. She is pleased as she has 3 young children and they went last week for £10 and spent over 2 hours in the water !!! They will come to play next week too. I did look after the little boy for a few months while Mum worked in the pre-school.
A friend is coming for a cup of tea and a chat this morning.
So the glue etc will have to stay away til this afternoon.
Have a good day
Linda :o) XxX
Morning everyone.
It's very dark here, looks like we're in for a downpour.
Rita, do you need a hand with your packing? We'll all help you with the move..............as long as we get invited to the housewarming party and get to stay overnight. Half of us will stay at your house and the other half will pop next door and stay at Marilyn's house.
There you go Marilyn, after we get Rita settled in - we'll help you with your lappy, you'll know more than Pete by the time we leave.
Jean, you were on here at 3.33, were you still up or had you been to bed? One more day after today and another week is over for you. Just keep thinking of your 2 days off.
My son is a little better today thank you, it only hurts if he moves his shoulder or neck quickly.
Enjoy your cuppa and chat this morning Linda...............I still think your days are longer than mine..........lol
No one else here yet so I'll just ~~~~~~~~~~~ to you all ...
Marilyn, Linda, Rita, Jean, Shelly, Mo, Yvonne, Elizabeth, Liz, Lady, Sue, Stephen - hope I didn't miss any names off.
Purple **^*Sparkly*^** Diamond Report 12 Aug 2010 17:09
Hi all,
got to tell someone, I feel sick, just found a message on the ansaphone from the son in NY, the one there has been so much stress over, saying 'the family' felt strongly about his wife not being able to afford to come over for the wedding so they have got the money together and she got the last seat on the flight to come for the wedding. Not sure if he means her family or his mother, no doubt he has been whining to her. He has only just started working after over a year living off this woman and people here sending him money, their home was on the line, she has two daughters and yet coming here to upstage the bride is more important to them, what selfish people. There will now be pressure for the brother and his fiancee to put both of them up and all sorts of other knock on things like hotel bills for o.h. to pay no doubt.
O.h. will be stressing as he is working all hours up to the last couple of days before the wedding and this house is a tip, he hasn't done anything to the bathroom to finish it off, there is no way he will want her to see the house and the pressure will be all on me to sort things out and make it as tidy as poss. It just won't be possible to make an impression on it, there are things he should have done a year ago and didn't and I don't have magic wand. I have masses to do in other areas and just cannot take this last minute pressure. As always the spoilt brat of a son has got his way and my life will be hell, by the time of the wedding I will be exhausted from trying to sort every thing out and if I don't do it, I will; still get frief from o.h.
I must have been so bad in a past life to get this life I have now
GRMarilyn Report 12 Aug 2010 18:58
Hi All,
Never mind coming to me.....we got a task to do more important !!
LIZ just do not worry about anything .....let him or whoever do the tidying up I would rather have grief from OH than put all my strength into trying to please EVERYONE .......
Stop...... and think about yourself for a change tell them all to bugger off !! Maybe that's what they all need .....no softly softly touch anymore.
Liz you need US all there at that wedding.....we'll sort it.
Shelly will start organizing who's in charge in the Church and not to go and trample on the graves stones ...
I'll tell em all to shut up !!!
Rita can organize the food ...
Pauline can tell what shirt goes with what tie and be done with it !!
As for Mo She'll throw a few darts at who ever you wish to get rid off ...LOL
Linda will do name places and sit where she says , and no arguing ..
Yvonne will tell ALL guests that they have to respect YOU above all people .
Elizabeth will take gentle care of you through out the day .
Jean plays no part in this saga as we have to let her rest ....most important !!
All in all Job done ...LIZ xx
Rita
Rita Report 12 Aug 2010 20:08
Liz my thoughts are let them come and dont do anything about your home if they dont like it hard boiled eggs to them.
Just forget it. I know it is hard but she is not the queen coming to tea.
tell them you cannot put them up. and they will have to make their own arrangments. dont set yourself back to square one. that will not help you. and it is not what you have done it is what you have had to do with your life. so cheer up put it all behind you.
things will sort themselves out.
so big hugs to you.
Mo in Kent Report 12 Aug 2010 21:18
Right Maz, darts are sharpened, new flights put in, I am all ready.
Can we use Jean to paint bulls eyes on their backs for me, that way I can aim better at them.
Liz, as I have already said elsewhere, sod the lot of them. When the NY son comes over, he knew what state the house was in, before he left, and nothing has changed, so why would he be surprised.
Any embarrassment should be on Im Indoors, not on you. He's a lazy git,
and needs showing up, so that others can see just what he is like.
I know she was not expected to come, but now she is, and it's just tough ti**y on him.
But hopefully, his brother or mum will put them up, and take the pressure off of you.
I'm right there behind everyone else with these goings on Liz
Please don't let the extra arrival upset you. She's only around for a long weekend or so.
She needs to see how her father in law lives and no it is not up to you to sort out his house, that he has done nothing to in an absolute age.
As Mo said his son knows what his Dad is like, so let all who want to see exactly how the land lies
Good Luck
Hope you are resting Jean, you seem to be out of hours with the rest of us , up far too early when the rest o us are slumbering
Well I agree with all the others Liz. It's about time his daughter-in-law found out what he lives like. It's not your problem, it's his house - let him sort it out. And no reason for you to feel embarrassed about it either - just keep saying............."It's his house". Say it to yourself and say it to anyone who makes a comment about it. It's not your problem! Don't let this get the better of you.
Good list Marilyn, everybody tick their names off and it's sorted.....Pauline √
Sorry, that was the nearest I could find to a tick.
Still damp here. Hopefully it will brighten up for Shelly's big day at Chessington.
Myself we are off to friends at Worthing for a few days. Be back Monday so don't worry if I don't add.
Hope you all have a good weekend.
Oh Mo another cardigan started, this time it's a pale aqua colour with flecks of turquoise and sage, quite pretty when it knits up. This little lady will be the best turned out in her street.
Bye for now
Morning
We have sunshine here just a few white powder puff clouds about but looks good . the weather man told us to expect heavy rain and thunder storms later so I am going to make the most of it while I can.
Shelly hope you have a good day at Chessington I have not been there for 40 years I take it you do mean the ZOO?
My son told me last night they are taking the children there next week. as they cancelled their holidays this year.to Turkey so they are having days out.
Linda I went for the day to Worthing last year with my sister I like that part of the coast. I hope you get some decent weather, that makes all the difference.
No cooking for me today my friend phoned to ask me if I would like fish and chips as she is going to get herself some . of course I said yes please.
have a good day.
