Mo I had fresh l;emon and honey all the time I had the flu. I have to be careful as when you are on Warfarin your not allowed anything that has asprin in so those brought Lem sips I cannot have the same as pain killers I have to show my warfarin card to the chemist she know what I can and cannot have.
what an end of the year and start of another year this has been with all these flu cases.
They showed you Scotland on the news and those icicles hanging from the roof were like spears. they said it was he worse weather since 1910.and those poor people didnt have central heating in those days or the things we have no wonder so many of them died.

When I got my cold powders they asked me if i was on any blood pressure tablets.I'm not which is just as well because I swear my these powders. They're magic!

Rita

Rita Report 5 Jan 2011 18:47

Pat those powders are wonderful.
I used them till I was put onto Warfarin but if I take anything that has asprin in those powders do I can be very ill.
That is why I have fresh squeezed Lemon and honey. I know I am safe with those.
I hope you are feeling better now.?

Stephen when they showed the iciles on the guttering I was amazed at how the guttering stood up to the weight those icicles must have weighted they hung from the guttering to almost touching the ground.
they looked like spears I wondered if they would cause any acciidents if they thawed and someone was underneath one of them

Good Evening everyone, hope you are well and warm.

Bits of ice coming down as I was walking home from work. I HATE IT.

Get well Patricia, and welcome back Cathy.

I am off work next week, so will look forward to doing a few things that I dont usually do. I do hope it will be a bit warmer, I am fed up swathing myself in scarves, gloves and a big thick coat. I am convinced I am a Summer Person, even though I was born in the Winter.

See you later people.

Morning all
Damp outside, but at least it's not too cold. Hubby has left for his course.
Well house tidying today and more of the dreaded paperwork. I hope to walk out to the postbox too. Need to get some fresh air, but I won't go out if it is still wet.
I'm still coughing, but it's not as bad as before, just lingering. How are all you others who have been unwell, Rita, Maddieand Pat? Hope you are all better than yesterday.
Take care and have a good day
Linda :o) XXX

Good morning Linda.
It's a cold wet morning here, and it's still pitch black outside.
If it's raining out I would stay indoors if I was you, you don't want that cough getting any worse.
Right breakfast this morning is.
Cereals, Porridge, grapefruit segments, fresh orange juice.
Eggs, fried, poached or boiled.
Bacon, sausage, beans or tomato's, fried mushrooms, fried slice.
Toast, with fresh preserves.
Tea, coffee. Enjoy.

Have a good day one and all, and those who have to go out to work, try not to overdo it.
Take care.

Did you know that a right-handed person twisting two wires together, the wires will form a left-hand thread?

Rita

Rita Report 6 Jan 2011 13:08

Marilyn I got your card this morning thank you. Mike has been on he said he is not looking to far a head he is going into Charing Cross hospital on 17th.February,He has been having a long chat to my son in law.Steve will put him right about things.

Dermot I am ambidextrous like my Dad was.. people use to tell me right handed people are directed by their left side of their brain and the left handed people by their right. they never did tell me which side my brain was doing all the work so I must have a hollow head.

Home is the Sailor, Home from the Office.

Rather I was coming home from the sea.

A bright clear day here.....but very cold.

Rita....I am a natural left hander.....for most things.....I was forced to change many things to my right hand when I was young.....also you don't get many rifles designed for left handed folk.....that was a change of necessity. My son is left handed also........we didn't make him change.
He even has a left handed Cheque Book......believe it or not you do get such things.

Time for a wee snack and some milk.

Catch you all later.

Rita Report 6 Jan 2011 17:22

Stephen I know there are left handed cheque books I have one. because I still write with my left hand more than with my right one. but most other things I do right handed unless my left hand is sprained then I use the right..many in my family are left handed they tried to make me use my right hand even had it tied up.
My Mum told me write how you are most comfortable with.

I was siting here this afternoon quietly having a cup of coffee when I heard an almighty bang and crash. I ran which I never do but this time I did. I thought a car had hit my wall at the back. when I got there two cars had smashed into each other one coming out of my court and the other on the byroad.(both women)the one coming out of my court had hit the other one and the car had shifted so hard it took the hedge down and landed close up to the wall of my neighbour next door.two men had to lift it to get it out of the hedge.
I have just put a notice into our Estate mangers letter box to tell her. otherwise she will have it put right and charge us.out of our maintence.

Yes Dermot from many of the M.P's have you noticed how their noses have grown.
