I've just forwarded Frank's e-card to you Mel. Hope it arrives okay.

I was going to ask the same question about the lovely snowy picture of Ann's. Is it one you took yourself Ann?

How are you feeling now Frank? I hope the sickness has finally gone and you're feeling a bit better.

Hope you start feeling better soon Anne.

Sorry to hear James is still not feeling better Jane, hope things improve for him soon. Yes, I heard it was a super moon last night and I'm sure I've read somewhere that there is suppose to be a meteor shower which is peaking on 3rd January. It's very cloudy tonight so I hope it's clearer in a few days as OH and I like to watch things like that. You mentioning Southern Fried Chicken has just reminded me I bought some the other week and they're still in the freezer, I might get a few out to thaw for tomorrow if Sandra fancies them. I've made a pork stew today with half of the left over pork from yesterday, the other half has gone into the freezer so I can make another stew with it when we fancy one.

I didn't get Franks ecard either :-( :-(
Anne you did well to cook that meal when you were still feeling so poorly. At least the men were there to help you out.Shame though that you didnt feel like eating anything.
Christmas is always such a bad time for nasty bugs and Viruses isnt it. I think it has been the worst year for a while for all this sickness.

Chris has been very helpful this last couple of weeks and has saved me a lot of the extra work. He said I had the whip cracking LOL Not true :-D Well maybe a little :-D :-D
He is having his Ham,Eggs and Veg now.I am not that hungry yet.So will do mine when I sit down to watch Eastenders . Gill where do you get your Southern Fried Chicken ? I think the best ones I get are from Sainsbury.

Must ring my Sister now and wish her a Happy New Year.

Not a great improvement with me I must have had 4 pints of water this afternoon, and still my mouth feels like a SEWER.

Ros got herself a bowl of PASTA earlier, and wanted me to have some. NO WAY. I will stick with my water, and try to get an early night. I was going to bed a little while ago, I can hardly keep my eyes open. But if I do I will be awake again by MIDNIGHT.

Gill you be careful cooking pork TWICE. I think Jane mentioned it some time ago. Hope it was alright.
I spoke to my SIL this evening (Bill's wife)She has been quite poorly. But her Son and her sat up until 4.30 this morning watching television. She said she never woke until 11.30 this morning.

Ros has watched Emmerdale, now Corrie, then Eastenders for an hour. I will perhaps get o see something, before I go to bed.

Sleep tight all. See you in the morning.

I buy mine from Iceland Jane. They are chicken drumsticks and are very tasty, not to spicy as Sandra and I don't like things to hot. We only have a small Sainsbury's here which doesn't really stock much as it's more of a convenience store, so we rely on Tesco's and Iceland plus Aldi for most of our shopping.

I've sent Frank's e-card to you Jane <3 Does anyone else need it forwarding?

I am ready for bed so he had better settle down now. I will make sure all the curtains are drawn to make it as dark as possible.I cant be doing with him having mad capers now.

May I have Frank's posting of the e-card too please Gill

Gillx Report 1 Jan 2018 21:57

Pleased the e-cards arrived safely for you both.

Why don't you get an eye mask for Thomas Jane LOL ;-) ;-) Hope you have a decent nights sleep and Thomas settles for you.
We've just noticed how bright the moon is tonight even though it's still quite cloudy and raining, it pops out through the breaks in the clouds. OH keeps trying to see the meteor shower but I think there are to many clouds around at the moment. Apparently the meteor shower started on 22nd December and ends on 17th January so plenty of time for him to see it.

Thanks for letting me know about the Pork Frank, if I use left over meat or chicken for a stew I always make sure it's eaten the day after as I'm a bit weary of re-heating it more than once. It's all gone now and was very nice, hopefully my tum will agree tomorrow :-D Sorry to hear your SIL is poorly, hope she feels better soon <3 There must of been some good TV on last night for them to stay up that late.

Just going to watch Bondi Vets I recorded for Sandra, she likes things like that. I'm also recording Bondi Recue tomorrow as Sandra likes Max, the young lifeguard.
Here's me thinking she just liked the programme LOL ;-)

Morning all, Laid awake all night last night. I have had a COT and a glass of milk.

Have fitted new inks in the printer, but still can't get it to print. I have left a message for Jonathan to pop round when he has FIVE.

What a filthy morning we have here. Wind and rain. All the lights are on and heating.

I am thinking the reason I am feeling as I am. Is because I haven't had any ALCHOL for three days, I might try to make it a permanent thing. I know Ros would be very pleased if I did.

Gillx

Gillx Report 2 Jan 2018 10:56

Morning Frank, morning all

It looks like it's been raining here too, it was very dark earlier but has brightened up a bit now.

Sorry to hear you had a bad night Frank. Maybe it is the alcohol. If you do make it a permanent thing then you'll start feeling better in time. You could still have the odd pint every now and then, just don't over do it.

My living room floor is full of bits and bobs out of the dining room cupboards, I've decided to have a massive spring clean as I'm sick and tired of not being able to find things. I did find a small mat that I can put my banana plant on when it goes back on the table. I've been wondering where it was, so that just proves my point. Hopefully I'll find other things I've mis-placed as I sort out, room by room.

I really should stop hoarding things, it's a terrible habit of mine, which is why I seem to be sorting rooms out all the time. This time I've decided to either throw things away, or give them to a charity shop.

Well, I'd better get on with it, then I can move onto another room. See you all later.

I have managed to eat one weetabix. I feel so down, depressed, and really out of salts.

Carolyn has invited us round for dinner on Sunday. Which should be nice.

I will persevere with my no drinking plans. I know it's going to be difficult when I have been drinking for so long. It's a habit I had got into, and one that I want to break. WHAT A GREAT NEW YEARS RESOLUTION I am determined to keep it up.!!!

The rain continues to fall. Everywhere is soaked. I still have those potato's to dig up on my VEG patch. What they will be like when I get round to doing it, I just don't know.

Poor Ros has been having her funny turns this morning. She is sitting on the sofa watching Ruth and her husband. I can take or leave him. !!! I see he's been made an OBE.

Have a DRY DAY.

Gillx

Gillx Report 2 Jan 2018 14:22

Poor Ros, I hope she feels better soon. Sorry to hear you're feeling down Frank. I think having bad weather makes you feel fed up. Roll on the spring, the sunshine will soon put a smile on your face. If it's soaking everywhere it might not be a good idea to dig up your potatoes just yet .

Good on you for trying to kick the drinking habit, you know we're all here to support you. <3

I'm getting there with my sorting, but wouldn't you know it, I picked up a heavy box and hurt my back again, silly me. Luckily OH and Sandra are helping me, so all I need to do now is pop a few things into a few boxes and put them back in the cupboard. I'm not sure if I want them in the loft or not, so if they're already in boxes and I decided to put them up there, all I'll need to do is tape the boxes up.

If you fancy a chat Frank I'll be bobbing on here throughout the day. It's nice Carolyn has invited you around on Sunday, that'll be something to look forward too. Keep your chin up, we're all here if you need us <3

Thanks Gill. At the moment I am having whirling Pattens going off, in front of my eyes. I can only put that down to the withdrawal symptoms. I am sure it will get better as the days go by. I am also very tottery on my legs, and have my stick with me all the time.

I want to start preparing the Pork and Veg for dinner tonight. But the chances are Ros won't let me.!! I can't have her taking over my Kitchen Duties, LOL.

Still a filthy, wet day, out there. I know we won't be moving far tonight. I haven't looked to see what's on T.V. tonight, but I am sure we will find something after her soaps.

Gillx Report 2 Jan 2018 15:25

Whirling patterns don't sound good Frank. Maybe you could have a sleep, you said you didn't sleep last night so you might be a bit tired. Once you've had some rest your eye sight might be a bit better. Have you thought to Google the symptoms for Alcohol withdrawals? If they are that bad maybe you should ask your doctor for some help, he/she maybe able to advice you on how to go about giving up drinking. You can't go on suffering like this.
It might be a good idea to let Ros do a bit in the kitchen, it sounds like you need a day off.
