I was 5 and a half pounds, which the doctor told my mum was because the placenta wasn't working properly. I was called the flea by the nurses on the maternity ward and although I was born in July I was wrapped up in more layers than the other babies. She made up for me when my brother was born though - he was nearly 10 pounds! My older son was 6lb 14oz and was beautiful. Younger son, who is now gorgeous, was less lovely at birth and weighed 6 and a half pounds. nell |

From stories of my mother & her friends, and my own friends who've had children, quite often the bigger the baby, the easier the birth - they force their way out faster! nell |

I was 5lb 13oz and ten days late. Eldest daughter was 5lb 9oz and 11 days late. Youngest 3lb 11oz and 4 weeks early. They were also small because the placenta wasn't working properly - in fact it packed up altogether with the 2nd. Jeanette x |
