I'd like to see somebody who dared to stand up and say what the rest of us are thinking. Somebody who is strong, who dos'nt tell lies and sticks by what they have said. Instead of helping the rich, do more for the poorer people. Winston Churchill, Enoch Powell and Margaret Thatcher were all strong people in my opinion. I look at all the parties, but I don't see anyone who measures up. Jo. |

I doubt Thatcher would get in (or stay in) these days. The muck-raking that would take place regarding her son's wealth would see to that. Politicians twenty years ago had a much easier ride. |

Hi Jo, In some ways I agree with what you say but neither Enoch Powell nor Margaret Thatcher ever said what I was thinking. Gwynne |

CB, I agree with you about Boris. Even a trained chimp would be better than what we have. |

Sylvia, I would like to see someone who can contol immigration and crime, and put a stop to the concrete jungles this government are proposing in the south-east, Cambridge/Essex and Oxfordshire. I like Boris Johnson too, he makes me laugh, but not as Prime Minister.... Enoch Powell came ahead of his time. I would vote for him if he were here now. Kathy |

We badly need a "None of the Above" candidate and compulsory voting. As it is, if there isn't a party whose policies you agree with, you are effectively disenfranchised. |

Someone with common sense, the guts to stick to their party's manifesto (no matter which close friend abuses it) and honesty (is that possible with a politican). A pipe dream I am afraid. Ann |

Could do worse - just think of the voting system as in America - it's just like a fairground. George Bush bah! It seems all the best politicians are either too old or dead. There must be a good younger one somewhere. Sylvia xxx |

If you are tempted not to vote, think of the Sufragetts and all they went thru to get votes for women, can we let them down brenda |
