Dont know if i have spelt them right, but a few of us were chatting about these today in the staff room today and the younger girls were laughing at us trying to explain them.

Where can i get a photo?

I googled them years ago and then contacted the
Co-op were we used to buy them from - they confirmed the correct spelling and that they no longer knew how to get hold of them

I loved mine and it was the in thing at school to have a pair

i do - mine were black and my sisters were brown

Mine were black and they must be the only shoes I have ever polished lol

If I remember though after a while ( many many months ) they could become big and I remember having to wear a couple of pairs of socks as they weren't cheap to replace

I think it was the only time in my teens that my Mum was happy with my "Sensible" shoes as she called them lol

I can't remember them! Please someone tell me what they are, I'm intrigued lol!

They were Clarks shoes

They remind me of Motown disco I used to go to - don't ask me why lol they just do

what they look like? oops please - forgot me manners then

oh shoes.... we lads had trackers with a compass in the heel why? lord knows

ebay says - shoes from the 70's and 80's

scholl wooden clogs were in when I was a girl, but they were hell to walk in, heavy feet LOL

The picture on Ebay of mens Poly's is not right, they aren't the right one's

They were fairly chuncky, leather, very comfy lol

OMG they were brill though,

they were like - and correct me if i'm wrong maddie - they had a thickish rubber soul that went from the front to the back of the shoe - but about 1cm from the front and 1cm from the back - and at the sides too - and they were like a moccasin top in leather - infact somewhere i think i've seen recently a photo of some - here in the house ...........

crikey now i'm gonna have to have a look

I can't find a pic on Google images or on eBay...help please cos I'm really nosy and want to see what they look like lol!

Oh wait a minute...now that TJ mentioned the soles not going right to the edge, I think I might know what they are. Did the tops only have a seam on one side, we used to say they looked like pasties?

no thye had seams all the way round the top xx

Im sure you are right i think i heard them called pasties!! hehe
