I have been informed that the This Child of Mine books were sent by first class post on Wednesday 25th September so they should now all have arrived or be arriving very soon. Has anyone received their book yet?

Mine arrived yesterday as well.

How long should we wait until we put up a review? It wouldn't be right to 'spoil' the story for slower readers.

Maybe slower readers could stay away from the review until they submit their own. Or perhaops write as:

I think Neil's suggestion is sensible, if you are writing a review that contains spoilers, just be very clear within the review where you are about to reveal them with a nice big SPOILERS alert at the start of the paragraph.

It's unlikely that people will all finish the book at the same time and there is no deadline for adding a review, so please feel free to add your review at any time.

Received my book thank you around 1st October :-) How often will books be offered the bookclub members (quarterly?). Have just started the book. Any easy read but looks interesting.

Judith - the Books are supposed to be offered monthly. Once the thread goes up with the title and synopsis, you are supposed to contact the GR book-club poster to ask for your name to be put into a draw.
The selected names and address are then sent on to Penguin who send out the books. There was some mention initially of 50 copies being available.

As +++DetEtCive+++ suggests that dies seem to have been the plan. HOWEVER, since the delays on the first book it has all gone SUSPICIOUSLY quiet and seems to have died a quiet death. I think many of us are now holding our breath a fortnight after book two was due to be declared to see if, and more interestingly when, anything else comes out or if it all just quietly goes away.

Regrettably for the Genes Reunited Book Club some of us just don't know the meaning of keeping quiet! :-P
