Hi Ive recently got back into my family tree and i am looking for two sons and a daughter of my Aunt Nance ( Gilks ) this is her maiden name 1920 -1998 /she married Peter Hill
.He was possibly American /and was in the Queens own Hussars ,this info i got from another Aunt .They had three children named Paul / Peter /Carolanne .If anyone has any info it would be much appreciated Many Thanks

The daughter may have been born in Birmingham in 1947, with mms written as Gilles.
(Carol A Hill).

I'm not posting it here, as she is likely still alive, as is also the case with the sons, but you can easily find it on FreeBMD.

Your aunt's birth?? Although you have her birth as in Alcester on your GR tree.

Unfortunately, to find your cousins may be hard, if not impossible, as they have such common names.

I don't see a marriage to Peter Hill.

I had assumed that's the correct birth, but she died in 1982, not 1998 as Richard claims, and appears not to have actually married Peter Hill.

But maybe all the foregoing is wrong - apart from the children's births and the daughter's whereabouts.

Maybe this is the correct woman below.

"Nance" may be a version of Annie, and maybe Mr Hill's name wasn't Peter!.

PLUS - one closed record, which FMP have not included as a household member - erroneously, IMO

Can't see Annie/Nance Hill in 1939, with a DOB in late 1920 (or early 1921 if Richard's info isn't quite correct).
Of course DOB's aren't always correct on 1939 Register in any case.

Hilda Irene Kynaston seems to be just a lodger.
She married twice, in 1951 and 1960, both times in Cheltenham, and died in 1990 in Birmingham.

As she didn’t die until 1998, she’s unlikely to be on 1939, unless someone has picked it up - or they have been notified.
