I think a trip up town to see Les Miserables was my 50th.

Or was it the Lion King?

Memorable evenings but I cannot remember which one belongs to which birthday.

Ah was looking on GR page.

I did book a trip to see Jersey boys for my 50th aswell but it did'nt open in London until the 28th feb we went on the 29th birthday was 20th.
I must say I have seen a lot of london musicals in the past and that was the best.
I saw Les Miserables about 20 years ago and enjoyed it but when I saw it again in the smaller theatre 7 years ago it was'nt as good for me

40th was a surprise party ............... out for dinner with OH (as usual on birthdays), home to a houseful of friends. One of them took the babysitter home, then they sat in the semi-dark until I walked in the front door.

OH then immediately ran to the bathroom, and threw up most of his dinner. He'd had an "appy" of prawns, and think they might have been a bit "off".

50th .......... garden full of ornaments ............... 49 flamingoes and 1 buzzard. Plus a large sign that said "Sylvia 50 isn't old ........... for a tree"

Thank you J!

60th ............ can't remember, other than we would have gone out for dinner

65th ............. dinner in Halifax Nova Scotia ................. OH's sister was at college over there, and one of OH's uni friends lived there. So there were 8 of us

70th ....... dinner on the Island with our 5 closest friends

Well what a load of codswallop.

Especially about being well respected.

What a joke.

I have never known someone use so many words to say nothing at all but make it sound like she is saying everything important.

I do not think she s worth responding to Jax and Sylvia.

Let her do her own thing and enjoy her new friends until they get fed up with her pomposity.

Go and do what you do best.

Research for someone who wants it.

'cept I still don't like the way she keeps accusing us of having multiple personas!

Hello, haven't been ignoring you all. It really amazes me that you don't know when I'm here and just reading and keeping quiet!

Can't see those posts from Dally, shame because I'm in a cheeky mood! Probably 'cos nerves a bit wired - find out on Friday if I'm soon to be a pensioner.

SylviaInCanada Report 12 Apr 2011 20:16

I've done just that :))

FannyByGaslight

FannyByGaslight Report 12 Apr 2011 20:34

Have a go anyway Sylvs?

In 1906 Gustav Fosberg married Elizabeth Penelope Lyons in Cardiff...
He is a Mariner aged 43 on cert and father Andrew Fosberg is a mariner also...
On daughters MC in 1925 he is a ships carpenter, not listed as deceased.
But she was an only child and mother never remarried.

On 1911 his wife and child are at home with her father and not a sign of him anywhere...Nor on any census previous, nor any death to match him...
Believed to be Norwegian by family stories, but Fosberg keeps coming up as a mainly Swedish name

Can anyone find any sign of him anywhere...He is not the death in Lancs...Too young to be him...

The family stayed in Cardiff and a lot of them do till this day.

Gustav/e Fosberg c1863 with Father Andrew Fosberg is who we are looking for...
I have checked crew lists on FMP and none for him...
